bugger never get the clickables to work

Worth the effort man - not new but scarcely seen and Stacey and Karen must always be welcome!

you can avoid mistakes by copying and pasting links into your post, instead of typing them in by hand - it's a lot less hassle, too.

click in the address bar of the page you want to create a link to. that should select (highlight) the url.

next, hold down the Ctrl key (bottom left-hand corner of your keyboard) and hit the letter 'C'.

finally, click in your post and while holding down the Ctrl key again, hit the letter 'V'.

this should paste the correct address into your message. put the angle brackets at either end - et voila!

I know this will sound pretty thick to some people, but how do I find the address bar if I want to make a link? Thanks.

It's the bit that shows the address of the page you are viewing. On this page it says: http://bgafd.co.uk/forum/read.php?f=2&i=8839&t=8773.
If you can't see it, and are using the dreaded Internet Explorer, go into the View menu, click on Toolbars, and select "Address Bar". If you would like a better browser, download Opera.

Hi George. I've tried all that, and I still can't see the address, just a little greyed-out button at top right which does nowt when I try to click it. And, erm, what's "Opera"
