Forgive my ignorance folks but I've always wondered why hardcore dvd versions of adult channel shows like A-Levels/Star Whores/Ally McSqueal etc never seem to get released. Once the original footage has been edited for UK transmission do the master tapes simply get locked away never to be seen again? I'd have thought there would be a lot of money to be made by releasing the original uncensored footage.I'm a huge Michelle Thorne fan and I'd give anything to see the unedited version of Star Whores which I feel is her best work to date.

It is not necessarily the case that a hardcore version of a softcore film actually exists, especially some of the older ones.

Star Whores is quite old now and I would have thought we'd see have seen it by now. Anyway, it is actually all g/g isn't it so maybe they didn't bother.

Actually what I love most about all those AC films is the low-budget feel quite reminiscent of Herschell Gordon Lewis and all those old pioneers. Star Whores always reminds me of The Queen Of Outer Space, the old Zsa Zsa Gabor film which is one of my all time low budget faves.
