Dililema

Hi ya,
I hope that I'm not going to cause an uproar, but I feel I need to voice my opinion about some thing and I would love to have any feed back from professional persons in the biz please.
Here goes:
I'm really sorry to have to tell you this but I will be unable to come to the BGAFD party due to the fact that at the moment I'm facing a big dililema as to whether to stay in the business I love porn or to come out of it completly due to the fact of many so called professional pornstars doing bukkake shoots with no HIV test! As you know these girls work with myself and the various guys in the biz that I work with on a professional basis. I've cum to realize that if a bukkake girl gets her HIV test say on the 1st of the month, then does a bukkake shoot two weeks later and an untested guy passes his HIV to her, she then gets tested on the 1st, 3 months from her last test, of course the HIV will not show up on the test for another 2 weeks so by the time she gets her 3 rd test. She will have already worked for 2 1/2 months with HIV. Every girl has to make adesicion as to whether they work with guys with out a test, but then it's not her decision to work with a professional knowing that she has been ignarent to the only rule in the biz which is no test, no work!!
So the question is do I want to risk my life for my job??!!

I forgot to add that in the States when they shoot bukkake it is law that every bloke has an HIV test!!!
I sure you all remember a few years ago in the States there was an HIV incident in the biz where a number of professional models caught HIV. I'm scared that this going to happen over here. HIV IS ON THE UP!!!

Ive often wondered about these bukakke shoots as some of the ladies in the industry are far too classy and well known to have to resort to this considering the roles they could undertake instead.
I sincerely hope Ms Longs honest observations will not go unnoticed to the more 'famous' of the porn stars who do these bukakke shoots, and I also sincerely hope Ms Long does'nt retire all because of this very important dilemma.......but she does have a very valid point.
Great post Angel.......and a BIG thanks to you for NOT doing these 'unsavoury' parties

Ya know, I'd never really thought about all that. I've seen the ads and thought how good the parties would be and all but thats something i'd not considered.
Angel, you're a star and as Ace said, we hope you don't retire from the industry due to all this but at the end of the day it's your choice.

Silly girl...of COURSE not.
And some of us were looking forwrd to meeting you, just on the off-chance that you might be a nice sweet person, rather than necessarily wanting to stick our knasty knobs in yer gob.

Angel,
I know it's a long shot (no pun intended), but perhaps you can lead a movement in the U.K. promoting Madatory (PCR) HIV & STD testing every 30 days like we have in the U.S. I know even this system isn't perfect, but it would help.
Folks, I would like to say that I know the lovely Ms Long personally and it would be EXTREMELY DIFFICULT for her to give up all the shagging! So what do you all have to say to new testing standards?
Love you Angel,
Shylock

Angel, I think it has taken a lot of guts to stand up and make this post, this subject has be discussed on the board before
but I can't remember anyone in the industry voicing their concerns in this way.
I think you are right to be concerned, although there will still be a large nimber of people who will say the risks are minimal, but I agree with you that there is no testing of these guys who take part in the bukkake's so there is a vastly increased risk and I think the number of performers taking part is certainly on the increase.
I think whatever you decide to do will be a difficult decision to make, but you are one of the truly great, enthusiastic performers in the industry, which should you choose to leave, will sadly miss you.

Either bukkake or not bukkake, there is no 100% HIV free method of protection, whether you have a test every thirty days or every seven. No doubt you gave serious thought to entering an industry where chances of catching STDs are vastly increased before you entered it. Bottom line is, regardless of "industry norms" etc., YOU decide what you feel comfortable with and what works the safest for you. You wouldn't have to give up all the sex, you just wouldn't be doing it on camera. If your lifestyle is going to be quite sexual anyway, my suggestion is you continue to make money out of it, and perhaps limit work with directors or performers you trust. It would be a great shame if you decided to call it a day but I think we would all understand why. And like jj said, I think the huge majority of us would be pleased to meet you because you seem a nice hearted down-to-earth person.

......and the bottom line is, because of the regular tests, you're probably an awful lot safer in yours, than MY profession..........and we have AT LEAST three deaths a week.
