Help! I know this is OT but others must have the same problem. I have a nasty pop up entitled ?messenger service? and it tells me it is from my computer, I can?t get rid of. Needless to say it?s an advert for a ?pop up stopper?, which will ?stop all these nasty messenger pop up?. I have tried to find a program, which may be embedded, but with no luck, it?s driving me to drink and with the state of business these days this is the one vice I can?t afford. A free Bukakke/Gangbang video to whoever has the answer to this nasty little beast. Oh! The Company who are advertising this are
www.endads.com. Nasty people.

There are lots of programs on the market that hunt out all these little embeded nastys.
download one and do a full clean.
PS be careful what you open application or email wise as this is how they get onto your pc in the first place.
Also try getting a good firewall and a virus scanner. And a trojan remover if possible.
This should help you.

I thought these pop-ups were due to the networking ability of PC's whereas someone on your network could send messages to other users. The spam brigade has cottoned on to this have have used it to their advantage. A visit to Microsoft Database should prove the answer to your problems, detailing ways to eliminate it.

Yeah. There was an article in one of the PC mags a while back detailing how these people not use Messenger, whether you're signed in or not. Perhaps, Remmington, your pop-ups are coming in that way? I don't use it, and therefore never sign in (neither is it running in the background) but I still get some. Deleting Mesenger from Windows Program Files seems the only way to stop this type of irritating stuff.

It has nothing to do with MSN.
Either way with a good scan for adware will show you every little file on your pc that is sending out info. All you do then is delete them. Most decent scans also scan your memory, registry and another other drive you tell it too.
