Well at least us old one can get it up! Not like most of the ?studs? I have tried out recently, what's the matter with you guys? All talk and no stalk. (Mind you, having Layla at the end of your dong is a plus).

On a different tack, does anyone miss the days when British sex films actually had a story line, maybe not that well acted but non the less there was something there? I think of Riding School Ravers, Fantasy Manor, The Sam Spade movies. Today it seems to be 20 min sequences, girl meets boy and gets down to it, hopefully, I suppose this is what people want, or is it just the distributors telling you what you want or is it that most of the people out there wielding these amazing do it all for you digital cameras don?t have the slightest idea how to make a sex film?
In my miss spent youth when I used to shoot alongside Berth Milton (Private) we would take three days to shoot a stills sequence, the results were there to be seen, Private became the major mag in the world. Now we go to an agent who tells us that the girls only work by the scene, whatever that is, and expect to be finished in three hours. Coming more up to date when Phil Mac. and myself shot all the lovely stuff for Sarah Young and Hans Moser, we sometimes travelled for two or three days just to look at locations, interview girl and get it together, and then took a day to shoot the stills and a day to shoot the scene. Result, good quality, erotic, girls properly made up, hair styled, she looked the part and she felt the part and the films did what they should do. They excited!

i seem to recall layla mentioning she worked as a care assistant in an old peoples home, before her change of career. seems it wasn't such a big a leap!

I miss films with a story line - though it doesn't have to be one story per film. Scenes can have story lines too. In case you missed a post I made a while back in response to a comment in a post from Phil McCavity (comment quoted), I'll repeat it here:

I agree that one of the things absent from hard core videos (wherever they are made) is "what turns us on" - if I can interpret that as eroticism. I think you used the phrase 'will she won't she' in a post some time ago. I think this fits in here. I'd call it erotic tension or erotic situation. There's nothing wrong with well-shot, well-directed hard core sex, but personally I'd like to see some erotic tension as well - and I don't mean big budget 'erotic thrillers' pretending to be hard core versions of Die Hard or similar. They could be a series of short unrelated scenes but with an erotic edge and including the seduction and build up and then going on to the hard core. Very few porn films have done this. For example, I like gang bang films, but what is almost always absent is the thrill of seing how such an event could actually develop - the 'will she, won't she' part. Some of the most erotic scenes I've seen have been in soft core and sometimes fairly mainstream films, e.g. Rebecca de Mornay and Tom Cruise on the subway in Risky Business, that plump-ish Aussie girl and a bloke on the top deck of a bus in Hong Kong in Felicity, a few scenes from Emmannuelle and Nine and a Half Weeks - if only the boring bits of those could have been replaced with hard core! - and a few seconds of 10 where Bo Derek tells Dudley Moore what she likes to do to the accompaniment of Ravel's Bolero. This sort of scene happens probably in less than 1% of porn films - Britt Morgan being used as the stake in a game of poker in Queen of Hearts springs to mind, as does the first scene in Gang Bang girl 15 (unfortunately not the Nici Sterling scene though that is good for other reasons) and there are a few others, but they are rare.
I prefer porn to stimulate an erection via the brain and the imagination, though I don't deny that it still works by the direct route too.

Thanks Alec, I have an idea for a harder version of the film Sliver, loads of possibilities, looking for others to get involved as it could be quite a project. Maybe partnership with another producer, need someone to write a screen play and, oh yes, someone to put a bit of cash into it? Well, got to try.
Idea already developed and it could be an ongoing project, suitable for TV as well as video.
