Passing down the seedy end of brewer st as you do yesterday evening
I found downstairs at the soho original bookstore was closed! the
reputable bit upstairs was open. I hope this is a temporary thang?

i was in there at about midnight on weds night, everything as normal. maybe they were doing some sort of stock take or new stiff might have arrived.
I hope so anyway, i keep popping in to see if they've got '7 The Hardway 2' yet starring Angel Long and Alicia Rhodes, but no, just volume 1.

It could be staffing. Many of the smaller stores close
if there isn't anyone to man the tills.

Staff training, perhaps. "Now, Frankie, remember you are not paid to read the magazines."

The Soho Original Video Store (run by the same people and directly on the other side of the road) was open fine and dandy last night when I picked up a couple of DVDs. Incidentally, I trust everyone is smart enough to haggle just like you would in any other pornatorium. Even though there are signs saying ten pounds off if you buy three DVDs/videos, that doesn't mean you can't get ten pounds off if you buy *two*. Indeed, Uncle Ben Dover even directs his interweb fans to a particular member of staff who does the best deals.

By the way Goldenballs, if you're keeping an eye out for 7 The Hard Way 2, it might be worth regularly checking if you don't already - it's the website for the people who distribute RLD films over here, and they (when they can get round to it) update it with the impending DVD and VHS release dates. No sign of 7 The Hard Way 2 last time I looked.
