There is a possibility we might. The new Communications Act 2003 received Royal ascent last Thursay and replaces broadcasting requirements for "taste and decency" with requirements to meet "generaly accepted standards". You can read it here:

http://www.hmso.gov.uk/acts/act18-07.htm

but it's quite a monster at more than 600 pages. I am running a campaign to get people to write to Ofcom asking for hardcore on subscription channels. You can get more details from censorfreetv@hotmail.com

I would say coz our government are stopping us i understand what you mean when i was travelling to and from Denmark i noticed on there satellite stations they have hardcore and even on there standard tv station on certain nights they have hardcore, Uk is one of the countries to be behind the times in hardcore satellite based channel if you pay a subscription then you expect to get what you pay for i remember have satellite back in 95 and i used to llok in the sallite mags and see adverts for hardcore channel on the old analogue system so i went out and bought myself a D2MAC Decoder with smart card for channel like TV3 SWEDEN, TV3 NORWAY, TV3 DENMARK,TV1000, FILMNET PLUS and many more but the uk government made them move to other satellites so poeple in the uk could no longer watch them But hey that's our government for you behind the times............lol i bet they see all the hardcore they like as they make up the rules as they go along i reckon one rule for them and another for the general public..........lol

Because we are British and we put up with it is the reason. We are stupid and don't do enough for our freedom of choice.

Which baffles me how Sky can show The Lovers Guide series on BoxOffice but TVX etc get slaughtered for showing semi erect nudgers while Eurotrash, on C4 at 10pm gets away with many things no other show would even gamble on screening.

Good to see a level playing field!!

For truly offensive TV watch Big Brother, Eastenders, Corrie, Ant and Fucking Dec etc.

I've always wondered how BBC 4 can get away with showing (what some may call) child pornography, simply by sticking "World Cinema" in the title.

One thing we should do as punters, and the late Alexander Walker was an advocate of this although for different reasons, is to always point out to the legislators, the hypocrisy of certain laws.

For instance, we should be pointing out that as adults we are allowed to buy hardcore porn magazines in the local corner shop and see photos of hardcore sex. However as adults we are not allowed to watch the same on TV or purchase it in a special adults only section of a regular video shop (like you can in America).
