General

1.1 What are the criteria for including an actress on the site?

First, there is a concentration on the preference of the compiler which is for 'films' rather than 'gonzo' or any other form of plotless porn.

Second, there is a bias towards French films reflecting the state of the compiler's knowledge rather than an absolute preference.

Third, a strategy has been adopted to cut down the work. Appearances by actresses which are already listed on iafd in general have not been included. This in practice means American films and Private releases. There are a few exceptions to this, usually where it is useful to list an alternative title in another language; when a European film, by some quirk, is listed on iafd; or when an actress has made a very limited number of appearances in American–made films and it was easy to include them, e.g. a few films of Marilyn Jess. Therefore there isn't a large overlap with iafd.

However, there will be a large overlap with films listed on imdb, though they will list many films which we do not. In general we have included titles already listed on imdb where we have something to add to their information, even if it is only confirmation from having watched the film or seen information on it elsewhere. That said, we have filled many of their gaps and corrected some of their errors, though this is not a criticism of what is an indispensable resource.

1.2 What are the criteria for including a film on the site?

The site lists hard–core titles where one or more of the actresses in the video meet the criteria outlined above. What does or doesn't class as being hard–core can be quite subjective, but we would count any video that contains vaginal or anal insertion by penis, dildo, finger or other objects, oral contact of male or female genitalia, and/or male/female ejaculation.

"Adult Film" means hard–core films, but we have also included many soft–core films and actresses who never did hard–core. This is because the distinction between hard–core and soft–core films was very blurred in the 70s and early 80s as a result of several factors:

 • Many films were made in two or more versions, even the soft versions could be cut in some countries.
 • A few soft–core actresses went on to do hard–core work (e.g. Karin Schubert) and a few hard–core actresses appeared in soft core films (and even straight films) - and not only after they had given up hard–core work.
 • Some soft–core actresses, notably Laura Gemser and Dirce Funari, gave soft–core performances in hard–core films.
 • Actresses may actually have had sex on film, without it being shown on camera with body doubles and/or clips from archive footage being used for hard–core close–ups. An example was Marie Forså in Butterflies according to Eric Edwards, her co–star and off–screen partner at the time.
 • In addition some actresses may have used a Clintonesque definition of hard core, performing oral sex but not vaginal (and in the case of Heather Deeley in Diversions, vaginal but not oral).
 • Some soft core films were later re–edited to include hard core sequences.
 • And finally, in more than a few cases it is uncertain whether hard–core versions of films exist.

It is therefore useful to include the relevant non–hard–core actresses and non–hard–core films to aid identification of other actresses by elimination.

1.3 Do you sell any videos?

No. The site is purely a resource for those who wish to find information on Continental and Continental–based porn stars and the films in which they appear.
[Top]

1.4 So where can I obtain the films listed here?

This is probably the most frequently asked question. Check out the list of video suppliers in the Links section. Most of the North American suppliers have been tried and tested and in our opinion have proved to be reliable. However, we recommend that you read our notes and comments before ordering, especially if you've never ordered before.

If you are interested in a specific video, check if we have included the production company alongside the title (e.g. Marc Dorcel, Colmax, etc.). If we have, one strategy would be to search on sites like Orgazmik and DVD Hard within that supplier. Otherwise, the best course of action is to get catalogues from lots of companies. You don't have to buy.

If you still have no joy in establishing who can supply a specific title, we'd appreciate if you try asking for assistance in the forum first before directing the question to us.

1.5 What risks are involved when importing videos through mail–order?

The following definition is provided by Her Majesty's Custom & Excise of what it is NOT permissible to import into the UK.

 • Indecent and obscene material featuring children, such as books, magazines, films, videotapes, laser discs and software.
 • Pornographic material other than that which depicts the type of consensual sexual activity between adults which can be legally purchased in the UK.

The British Board of Film Classification provides the definition of what can be legally purchased in the UK. The following content is not acceptable:

 • Any material which is in breach of the criminal law.
 • Material (including dialogue) likely to encourage an interest in abusive sexual activity (e.g., paedophilia, incest) which may include depictions involving adults role–playing as non–adults.
 • The portrayal of any sexual activity, whether real or simulated, which involves lack of consent.
 • The infliction of pain or physical harm, real or (in a sexual context) simulated. Some allowance may be made for mild consensual activity.
 • Any sexual threats or humiliation which do not form part of a clearly consenting role–playing game.
 • The use of any form of physical restraint which prevents participants from withdrawing consent, for example, ball gags.
 • Penetration by any object likely to cause actual harm or associated with violence.
 • Activity which is degrading or dehumanising (examples include the portrayal of bestiality, necrophilia, defecation, urolagnia).

The following content, subject to the above, may be permitted:

 • aroused genitalia
 • masturbation
 • oral–genital contact including kissing, licking and sucking
 • penetration by finger, penis, tongue, vibrator or dildo
 • non–harmful fetish material
 • group sexual activity
 • ejaculation and semen

These guidelines make no distinction between heterosexual and homosexual activity.

1.7 What are newsgroups and how do I access them?

You will often see references on this site to newsgroups such as rec.arts.movies.erotica and may be wondering what they are and how you can view them.

Basically newsgroups are part of USENET, a global bulletin–board system. USENET is not the web. To access a newsgroup you use a separate piece of software called a newsreader. You may already be using Outlook Express for e–mail and this also includes a built–in newsreader. Before you can use it to read newsgroups however, you will need to tell it the name of a news server. Your Internet Service Provider may provide a news server and that is often the best choice when getting started (you can find out what it's called by asking your ISP). If you have a support service with your ISP, this is also the sort of thing you can ask them how to set up.

While there are websites, such as groups.google.com, where you can read USENET news over the web, such sites don't usually carry binaries (i.e. the pictures, audio, video, executables, etc. - anything that isn't text).

One exception to this, in that it is both web–based (i.e. you can access it via your browser) AND it provides limited free usage is GlobalNews. Simply type, or cut and paste, the name of the newsgroup you require into the search box. Assuming that the newsgroup you want is on their server, you will be able to download ten images without registration, or fifty images if you do register (albeit, without incurring any financial obligation).

If you use a newsreader agent, there are some free news servers via which you can access many binary newsgrous. Last time we checked newscache1.freenet.de was available, but you are only allowed to read messages and may not post.

One important thing to be aware of with USENET is that sometimes people can be very fussy about what you post. Each newsgroup has its own rules and quite often there is a FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) for the newsgroup that gives posting guidelines and answers some common questions. The golden rule is read the FAQ before posting and preferably spend some time reading other people's posts to get an idea of what is acceptable and what is not.

Finally, if you see the term subscribe to a newsgroup, please note that this does not mean you have to pay any money. It simply describes the process of making the messages in that newsgroup available for viewing in your newsreader.

You can find more introductory information about USENET at A newbie's guide to USENET

1.8 What is the policy with regards to listing actress names?

We will only list a name on the site if it has either appeared in the credits of a film, video or TV programme, or if we think the name has been used in connection with other modelling activities.

Often we won't know if the names we list for a particular actress include a real name or not, since we are going solely by what the actress was called in credits or news group posts etc. If an actress asks us to remove a name or if an agent or producer tells us that she wouldn't like a particular name to be used, we remove it.

If someone e–mails us with a real name (and tells us that it is a real name) and it has never to our knowledge been used by the actress as a stage name, then we won't use it. If someone makes a post to the forum giving a real name, or any personal details, we will remove that as well, even if it later turns out that the actress in question didn't mind. This is done partly to reduce the chances of someone else making a similar post about another actress and using the first one as justification.

(But it should be borne in mind that this site is not a model agency and this is not a directory of current models. This is intended as a resource of historical as well as current reference. Film appearances are for ever, especially in this digital, internet age. Therefore the fact that an actress is no longer involved in the adult industry is not a reason for removing her page, though we do understand that, given the nature of the industry, discretion is sometimes required, and we will therefore, when necessary, disguise identity.)

Forum Registration

2.1 What is a profile?

At it's most basic, a profile is the combination of the name someone uses on the forum and the e–mail address used to register that name. If an attempt is made to register a name that has already been taken, it will result in an error message: "That user name is already in use". Likewise, using an e–mail address to register more than one name: "Your e–mail is already used by someone else". Only one profile can be registered with any name or e–mail address.

Your profile will allow you to post to the forums on EGAFD and BGAFD (British Girls Adult Film Database) - BGAFD is the companion site to EGAFD. You will also have access to the O/T (Off Topic) Forum which is shared between both EGAFD and BGAFD.

2.1.1

Registrants are not permitted to have more than one profile at a time. If anyone wishes to use a different name on the forum, they should ask a moderator to delete their existing profile before creating a new one.

** NOTE ** Anyone found to have more than one profile risks having all of their existing identities deleted.

2.1.2   Profile pages which breach any part of the EGAFD FAQ, or which contain links leading to unsuitable material, may be edited or deleted at the discretion of the moderators. References to escorting services are not allowed. Names or e–mail addresses that are deemed offensive or in breach of the FAQ by the moderators, will result in the profile being deleted.
2.1.3   To avoid confusion and possible acts of deception, the names of adult performers can be used only by the individuals who perform under those names. This rule may also apply to any other names which the moderators deem problematic. Also, names consisting of commercial website / email addresses and site names are not permitted. Exceptions may be made in the case of non-commerical sites.
[Top]

2.2 Can I choose my own password when I register?

Upon signing up, a randomly generated password is e–mailed to the address given by the registrant. This can easily be changed to the registrants own choice of password. Go to the forum and log on. Click the link called 'My Profile', then click 'Edit Profile' (You will only see the 'My Profile' link if you have logged on). You will then be able to add/change all of your profile details (except your forum name), including the password you have been given. To make any changes to your profile permanent, click the 'Update Profile' button at the bottom of the page.
[Top]

2.3 Will EGAFD use my e–mail address without my knowledge?

Members e–mail addresses will be used for no purpose other than to forward their password and to correspond with members in relation to matters concerning EGAFD, when necessary. It is important to emphasise that EGAFD is a non–commercial site.

** NOTE ** EGAFD will not spam it's members, or pass it's members details on to a third party, for commercial gain or for any other reason.

2.3.1   Members can choose whether to make their e–mail address visible on their profile page, or to keep it hidden from visitors.
[Top]

2.4 Is it okay to put a link in my signature?

Yes, you can link to one website in your signature which must also be accompanied by a description of your relationship to it - e.g. Webmaster/Featured Model/Moderator/Director/Fan, etc. Graphics of any description are not permitted for use in signatures. Any such instance will be removed by the forum moderators.

2.4.1   Offensive or excessively long signatures may be edited or deleted at the discretion of the moderators.
[Top]

2.5 How do I put an image in my profile?

To have a picture in your profile you need some webspace to host your picture. Fortunately, there are a growing number of sites which will host images for free and allow you to link back to them. They all work in more or less the same way as the following example:

 • Upload your image to a free image hosting site (e.g. www.imagehosting.us).
 • Click the 'direct picture link' button on the page that comes up after you've successfully uploaded (on 'imageshosting.us' it's the fourth button down).
 • Log on to BGAFD Forums and click the 'My Profile' link. You'll find it towards the bottom of the page.
 • On your profile page click the 'Edit Profile' link.
 • Paste the address of the image you've uploaded into the 'Image URL' box. You can paste it by holding down the Ctrl key (bottom left-hand corner of your keyboard) and typing the letter 'V'.
 • Click the 'Update Profile' button.
 • Et voila! You should now have an image in your profile.

Universal Rules (applicable to all forums)

3.1 What is off topic?

Broadly speaking, anything that doesn't meet the criteria outlined in each forum's specific rules. Please make sure you read them. In addition, EVERY forum falls under the following guidelines:

3.1.1   Any post which infringes privacy or other basic human rights of the subject will not be tolerated and will be deleted. In particular, posting personal information about models is unacceptable - we are not a stalkers' information bureau.
3.1.2   Requests for "information" on a model are liable to arouse suspicions of stalking and may be removed. Questions such as "What is Model X doing now?" are likely to elicit the response "Retired. Mind your own business" for the same reason. It is valid to ask if a model is still modelling, but not what she is or has been doing/where she is or has been living since retiring.
3.1.3   Similarly, all postings relating to rumoured or actual escort services provided by any of the girls will also be removed. There are a number of reasons for this, but chief amongst them is the fact that we want to retain the good will of models wherever possible. It is certainly very easy to use a girl's photo on a website, then when the girl and her presumed activities are mentioned in a news group or forum, post a message saying that you have used her services and how good she is etc. At least one well known escort agency has been known to adopt this practice in the past (and were threatened with legal action as a result). If a model is not an escort she may be very annoyed at the rumours, and even if she is she still might not want to publicise the fact depending on her individual circumstances, clientele etc. Pointers to a model's own site are allowed providing the site contains relevant information, such as details of video appearances or better pictures than are available elsewhere, but please try to avoid drawing explicit attention to any additional services that may be offered.
3.1.4   Commercial posts are discouraged, with the exception of infrequent postings for sites that provide information of relevance (or sell videos of relevance), sites providing high quality unique images or images with rarity value or sites run by models themselves.
3.1.5   Bukkake and gang bang parties are off-topic unless the purpose is to film them for commercial release on videotape or DVD and the participants are not charged an 'entry' fee.

** NOTE ** Any hints of off topic activities are considered just as off topic as any explicitly made off topic statement.
[Top]

3.2 What are the rules for posting supplier details?

Supplying hard–core videos by mail order from within the UK is illegal. The people who do so are taking risks. Please show common sense and do not name names or give UK locations or addresses on the forum.

Posts contravening this rule will be removed. The only exception is where the information given has previously been made widely available in other UK publications.
[Top]

3.3 What formatting options can I use in my messages?

The easiest way to create clickable links is by placing web addresses inside a pair of angle brackets, thus: <http://www.egafd.com> This will appear as http://www.egafd.com

Forumites can also make use of a number of tags to insert links into their posts. For instance:

http://www.egafd.com also creates a url that is linked.

EGAFD links 'EGAFD' to http://www.egafd.com (in a forum post you will only see the text and NOT the tags)

gobblyde@gook.com creates a linked e–mail address.

(for example) will include an image in your post. For this to work you must ensure that the image you're linking to is stored on some web space and that you have included the FULL address of the image. If you want more detailed information about image hosting and how to post images, go here

Tags are also available to carry out some basic formatting. For example:

Bold Text will make text bold.

Underlined Text will underline text.

Italicized Text will display text in italics.

In addition Centered Text will centre text and
Shut up and deal!
will indent text (i.e. move it in from the left).
[Top]

3.4 Can I use the forum for trading?

It is not in the interests of the site to allow the forum to be used to trade copies of broadcast programmes or to trade copies of videos which are easily available to buy. This is effectively stealing from the people in the industry.

Any suspected reference to trading in illegal copies of an original artifact, whether VHS, VCD, VOD or DVD, will be removed. This includes links or directions to any file sharing network.

Copying old tapes which are at risk of disappearing for ever, like 1970s John Lindsay loops for example, is acceptable though, as these cannot be bought from authorised sources and so copying them is helping to preserve them.

** NOTE ** All posts relating to the trading of such tapes MUST be accompanied by a valid e–mail address. Failure to comply will result in removal of the post. When offering to sell or trade original copies via the forum, any descriptions outlining what is available should be kept to a minimum, with interested parties being invited to e–mail the poster if they require further information.
[Top]

3.5 Can I post or request passwords and backdoors to pay sites?

No, this is stealing. Such posts will be deleted without exception.
[Top]

3.6 Why do you block posts made through an anonymous proxy?

Posters going to the trouble of using an anonymous proxy normally have only one intention - to stir things and cause trouble. So as they become known to us, we will block them.
[Top]

3.7 What other posting rules do I need to follow?

3.7.1   The posting of messages containing personal abuse, or other inflammatory remarks, will not be tolerated under any circumstances and such posts will be removed. Threatening language and violent terminology, whatever the context, is unacceptable and will result in the offending post/thread being edited or removed. The same applies to any post containing racist terminology/opinions or any other form of prejudice (this applies even if you think you are joking - the "Bernard Manning" defence is bogus). Any post liable to intimidate or discourage other posters from participating in the forum may also be removed at the moderators discretion.
3.7.2   Attempts to mislead forum users by the use of an alias are unacceptable. This includes an individual replying to his/her own posts using more than one name, or using the name of an already established contributor to the forum with the intention of impersonating that person. Such posts will be deleted and may result in all future posts by that individual being deleted.
3.7.3   Do not make posts using all capital letters. Capital letters are equivalent to using a raised voice in net terminology and are best reserved for emphasising a point, or when making a post entailing genuine urgency.
3.7.4   If someone goes to the trouble of posting a constructive reply to your request for assistance, make the effort to say thank you. Not only is this good netiquette but it helps to ensure that people will be as willing to assist others in future - including yourself.
3.7.5   While a forum dedicated to the adult industry is not a vicar's tea party, the tone of language used in the forum is expected to be civil. No matter how much you may feel the need to tell the world that 'Belinda Big Boobs' is so sexy you'd give anything to stick your massive **** up her tight **** until she's hospitalised, this is not going to stay on the forum for very long. A lot of the models mentioned by posters do actually visit the forum, even if they do not post on it. Please remember that they are people and not just pieces of meat and moderate your language accordingly.
3.7.6   The persistent hi–jacking of threads can not only be annoying but it degrades the purpose of the forum: the facilitation of the exchange of information pertaining to the Continental adult entertainment industry. If somebody posts a specific query and the responses made bear no relation to this topic, such posts are liable to be removed even if they do not breach the FAQ.
3.7.7   The posting of telephone numbers, even when apparently volunteered by the individual making the post, may result in the message being removed. We have no foolproof way of ascertaining whether a poster is who they say they are and something as personal as a phone number is open to abuse. Consequently, such posts may have the number edited out for reasons of security.
3.7.8   It is good practice to include a direct reference to the content of your post in the subject header. Generic headers such as "I need help!" really aren't of much help to anyone. A concise, appropriate subject header is much more likely to get you the response you seek.
3.7.9   The cross–posting of messages (i.e. which are identical, or broadly identical) on the European Girls, British Girls, Promotions and O/T forums, is not permitted. Choose the most appropriate forum for your post and continue to use the same forum for related follow–up posts.
3.7.10   Members are permitted to "bounce" a post to the top of a forum, once only. Anything beyond this may result in the message being deleted.
3.7.11

The posting of links or directions to pages or web sites which contain images of beastiality, paedophilia, or scatology is not permitted. Any posts containing links or references to pages or websites which are, in the estimation of the moderators, likely to cause offence or be in breach of UK law may also be removed.

3.7.12

All enquiries about deleted posts must be put directly to the board moderators via info@egafd.com. All forum posts enquiring about deleted posts will be removed.

** NOTE ** Visitors to the EGAFD forums should feel secure, relaxed and encouraged to participate by other Forumites. We will not permit the friendly atmosphere of the forums to be comprised by the personality traits of particular individuals.

[Top]

3.8 What language can I post in?

All posts must be made in English, or contain an adequate translation into English of any text written in another language. Posts that are solely in a language other than English, or which have an inadequate or ambiguous English translation of any Non–English content will be edited or removed. You can obtain an approximate translation of your post into English at www.translation.langenberg.com.
[Top]

3.9 What are the rules for naming and shaming?

The explicit "naming and shaming" of individuals or companies is not permitted for the following reasons:

 • To avoid false and malicious naming and shaming
 • To avoid libellous posts
 • To avoid tit–for–tat posts, culminating in flame wars

Experience has shown that the best way of preventing large numbers of a particular type of post, is to not allow ANY of that type of post. This is not a policy of censorship but self–preservation.

While well–meaning attempts to expose the weirdos, deadbeats and con artists who prey on the adult entertainment industry are appreciated, EGAFD possesses neither the resources, nor the inclination, to be dealing with the inevitable threats of legal action that will follow such posts. Consequently, the naming of specific individuals and companies will result in the offending post being removed. The poster will also be informed that any repetition will result in the cancellation of their membership.

It is, however, acceptable to make a post in which a generalised description is given of a particular situation or cause for concern, as long as the post is accompanied by an e–mail address, through which interested parties can contact the poster for further details. e.g. if there is reason to suspect that an individual is luring models to appointments under false pretences, or is acting in an improper manner, the following text would be acceptable:

WARNING: There is an individual in the Hambry area passing himself off as the photographer of a well–known model agency. He is taking pictures and then refusing to pay the girls. His manner is also potentially dangerous. The agency he claims to represent denies all knowledge of this man and his activities. For further details please contact me via my address: whistle@blower.com

You MUST include your e–mail address in the post, even if you disclose it in your profile.

4.1 What is the purpose of the forum?

This forum is intended for the discussion and sharing of information on the topic of Continental born and Continental–based female performers in adult films.

Its primary purpose is for:

 • Fans to communicate with each other
 • Fans to communicate with people in the industry
 • People in the industry to communicate with fans

It is not a primary intention that it be used by suppliers and producers to 'communicate' with one another and such posts will be removed at our discretion.

4.2 What is on topic?

Anything relating to Continental and Continental–based actresses and the adult videos and programmes in which they appear, i.e. those actresses and films that meet the criteria layed out in FAQ questions 1.1 and 1.2 above.

Discussion related to softer films than those listed on the site is acceptable and encouraged, since it can sometimes lead to the discovery of other work which we will list.

This is also the correct forum for the posting of picture links featuring Continental models.
