Although in love with her boyfriend, Freddy, Denise leaves for the big city, hitching rides. She is first picked up by a lingerie salesman and models some of his wares. Then she is picked up by a womanising night-club owner, Harry Reems, who takes her to his home. There she displaces his live-in girlfriend (Zoe [9] on bgafd), but gets upset when later she is treated in the same way as he brings home (or has sex with at the club) various 'butterflies' (Irene Wendlin, Heidi Kappler) from his night club. Sometimes these are procured for him by an older woman at the club (Nadia Henkowa) who also befriends Denise.
