A very rough and unsophisticated Greek porn movie shot in quite baffling surroundings: a sort of lost rural mountain village (in Crete) far from civilization and located near a spring cascading from the cliffs. A female traveller (Monica Dimitriou) is walking up a rocky path, arrives at the village and is attracted to the local playboy Manolios. The story is all about the various sexual encounters of the local people all dressed in traditional (Cretan) costumes. Kostas Samaras is a sort of woodcutter who lives in a cave. There is a shepherdess (Angela Gianou) looking after her sheep. Pavlos Karanikolas is also dressed in local clothes. There is a central character (who has a non-sex role), a sort of local bard who keeps playing his lyra (a sort of mandolin played with a bow) and is used as the linking element between the different characters (is he someone well known or a local extra?). All the sex scenes are played to the wonderful sound of local songs (mandinades, which often contain sexual innuendoes). The trip of your life!
