John,
There is no such thing as "taking advantage of..............etc"
Buy on-line is far more cost-worthy and you will get exactly what you pay for.
Apart from all that, ENJOY your trip to our fair city.

Right across - opppisite the Soho Orignal Book Shop on the right is another shop that sells mainstream Video, Books & DVD's. Don't remember the name of the shop but if you visit the basement of the shop they have loads of R18's at ?19.99 - ?25 and have the same offers as Orignal book shop, example 3 DVD-?19.99 for ?50. What you can't find at the Soho book shop you might find at this other shop. Harmony is a cool shop also, theres about 2 in the area, one in Soho and a larger one near Tottenham Court road & end of Oxford Street. Same line as Ann Summers shop.

Depends what you want. There is a lot of 'under the counter' stronger stuff available if you are into minority tastes, for example, but no such shop will thank anyone for posting their name! Just pop in to different shops and ask what they have got. If you perservere you should find what you want.

No-one has mentioned the "Pirate" store on Brewer Street,
which is another good store.

Popping into different shops is a good idea as they are all
pretty close together (Brewer St. & Walkers Court is the major
concentration).

You will also quickly learn to tell the licensed stores from
the un-licensed ones (loads of stock versus very little). Be
wary of the un-licensed stores, the risk of getting ripped
off is significant.
