It certainly sounds like it is shaping up to be a hatchet job.
However I will reserve judgement until I have had a chance to view it.

Personally I doubt whether any docu/soap would be objective without highlighting the more unsavoury side of the industry.
The trend for more & more extreme content, and the introduction of bukakee & amateur parties has already split the industry down the middle.
As has been well documented on this board over the last few months.

We shall all wait with bated breath, I am hoping for a balanced account of the industry.....but singing pornstars how perverted is that ????????

Cheers CC.

'The film is said to contain some of the most disturbing and explicit images ever seen on mainstream British TV.

It includes interviews with women working in the pornography business and scenes of graphic sex acts.

The man behind it, Bafta-winning filmmaker Brian Hill, admitted it would shock viewers but defended making the programme.

"It's a difficult film to watch but I don't think it is in any way salacious or titillating," he told Radio Times. '

I remember back when he made his original post about people participating
we were all sceptical then (as usual) he expressed a desire to make a film without the usual 'dark' side of porn, but we will see! to be fair it,s usually the television company who 'hatchet' no doubt Chris can blame them...

id like to take a fair guess and say this is going to be a very negative show.

chriss kelly badgered me for ages trying to get me to do some bukkake/gang bang stuff for them.
i was almost coerced into doing this for them as they put so much presure on me - shows they have little respect for porn girls and the idustry as they made me feel very uncomfortable about doing something i really didnt want to do.
when i fianally said id do an interview but it was to be about me as an up and coming new and female producer he lost all interest.

says it all really dont it???

Sounds as if it's going to push peoples attitudes to porn backwards rather than forwards! Maybe if a decent documentry on porn was shown on UK mainstream TV peoples attitudes to porn might change. But while we still live in a country that does not allow H/C movies even on a subscription channel unlike our European neighbours I'm afraid people will still see porn as a taboo subject.

Still lets see the program before we pass too many judgements on it eh??

Someone once famously said that viewing pornography was a bit like voting for the Conservative Party.
Millions of people from every walk of life are quite happy to do both but very few will admit to it in public!

I feel very sorry for people who feel they have to spread the word that something lots of people enjoy in a healthy manner, often with their partner, is, to them, obscene. Mary Whitehouse made a career of it and I assume it's safe to say she made more enemies than comrades with similar opinions. If people weren't willing to let porn, whatever strength into their lives, I'm sure they could easily swicth it off. Horror was the same about 30 years ago;

Interesting fact that Joe King/Steve56 may find impressive:
When King Kong VS Godzilla (a kiddies film) was released in the cinema in the UK in 1963, it was given an X rating. On video in 1989, it's a PG. Same film, no cuts. Attitudes have changed.

People's attitudes will change and shows such as this one, no matter HOW they portray porn as it will get people interested, couples talking about it and most importantly, poeple used to the subject! They soon be asking themselves, "if there's a TV show about these videos, why can't I buy them anywhere?" and soon they'll be legal to rent and buy from Blockbuster.

Trust me.

To be shown Sunday 7 Sep C4 10pm (but I forget where I found that out).

If you're wondering whether it will be negative or not then ask yourself why Brian Hill describes himself as saddened and depressed.

hi
am pissed at moment so please forgive me if i dont make any sense ! basically unless they do a bashir job and make me look bad like they did michael jackson with use of clever editing then i cant see how they can make my input negative ! if they do manage it somehow then 1) i will break bones
2) any publicity is good publicity so i dont mind too much as people that matter know the real story behind porn that its an honest industry etc
3)i cant vouch for the other girls that took part in the docu as i dont know what they said !
anyway people in the outside world of porn are never gonna really understand wot goes on perhaps they should take a look at their own sheltered pathetic boring lives im sure that would make a better documentary !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have to agree with Faye on this one, as she mentioned i too took part in the affor-mentioned program, and am quite satisfied with my take on the industry, albeit most was filmed at the height of my morning sickness that lasted all day stage o f my preganancy, so in parts i look pretty rough, and in others when they filmed me stripping in between acts i was being interviewed with my head down the loo......almost!!!
As for Sandie's comments on them not being interested in filming her regarding being an "up and coming" female producer, ....strange, they interviewed me on this very subject!
As for the finished program, we shall soon know if weve been had, but lets face it no program will ever show our beloved hobbie in the light we want to see it, but i also think that there is only so much clever editing can do, and a lot of it is down to the subject matter, were all too familier with these silly tarts who come on these shows and whinge on about how they hate the men, and hate doing it and only do so cos of the money or because its the step up to becoming some big movie star....(like as if!!)
i'm confident that girls like myself and faye who clearly do love this industry will of gone some way to doing it proud.

If not then i too will don the boxing glooves!
