just head for walkers court in soho and the bit of brewers street that joins it, plus peter street next door and you're spoilt for choice, licensed or otherwise.

i'd stick to buying any r18 certificate vids from licensed premises - the dodgy merchants aren't any cheaper and they ain't going to be any better in the picture department. besides the home grown industry needs your support!

for american/continental stuff not released here, 'tabu' in walkers court has a goodly selection.

unless you're after 'specialist' stuff, you certainly shouldn't be paying over ?20 for anything.

Is Tabu reliable? I think I was in there when someone came in and complained about the usual 'not the right vid' scam, so I went out without even trying it.

maybe i shouldn't have recommended any of the dodgy brigade by name. obviously, in that category, you're unlikely to be dealing with st francis of assisi!

having said that, the one unlicensed outfit that i've had substantial dealings with, to the effect of a couple of hundred quids worth of purchases, is 'pirate' on the pentonville rd, kings x.

i know of at least one other person who went there recently and had a good experience. beyond that i wouldn't offer any cast-iron endorsements.

I should add that Maxim's is consistently recommended on here and I'd endorse that wholeheartedly. In 5 years I've never been ripped off or let down. Now, can I just go off topic for a second? I am looking for European vids featuring Anita Dark,the Hungarian pornstar, specifially the Skin Maximum Perversion videos, Beautiful Girls of Europe Vol 2 & 3 or any Marc Dorcel productions. Anyone know where to find them in the UK?

I totally agree about Maxims (in Frith Street), and also Corniche further up the street. The hardcore section in Corniche is right at the back downstairs. I think these are the only two 100% non-ripoff places left. With the others sometimes you will be ok other times you will get ripped off.

Anyone know where the stronger European stuff is available in London?
