unbelievable

I thought i would post this article i found in a local paper for your amusement/amazment

People tempted to use a proposed sex shop in Stafford should go to church instead, a local councillor said yesterday.
Legislation passed in 1995 allows licensed adult shops in the town and planning permission may not even be needed for the proposed store at Gaol Mews.
A 28-day public consultation notice is displayed in the window of the former Bluechip recording studio at the Gaol Road premises near the town centre.
But outraged common ward councillor Iris Moseley, believes ?weak ?willed? people should swap the ?blue? for the pew.
Miss Moseley also says that x-rated material encourages people to carry out serious crimes and that children are at risk of coming into contact with pornography if the shop opens.
She said ?I am very worried. When you read about what happens on the internet, especially with young people, it is tragic. I do not agree with it.
It encourages people who are a little weak to go further. If there is no outlet, they can?t get anything.?
She added ?Not everybody can be strong willed and if there were no places like this there would not be so many murders and rapes. People read these things then want to act them out.?
Miss Moseley is also worried that inmates released from the prison would make the shop their first port of call and would be encouraged to re-offend.
She added ?Obviously we need to go into it further to see what sort of things they intend to sell, and it wouldn?t be fair to completely dismiss it until l then.
But i want to keep Stafford clean, honest and reasonably safe from the threat of sexual attacks. If people want something to do they should go to church.?

Aiy, tis a fair bonny idea, that the wee lass is argueing towards... lets heed her words, and repent asunder... all a'yeh porngirls, should also repent especially too!
then, with any luck, rebecka, wendy, layla-jade n violet n' all may well all a'be in the front pew, kneeling down, with their wee bottys raised high in the air...
Before we arrive ! the increase in numbers, attending the sermon, would sure to be a true delight! thats of course, if i dont get trampled... trampled in the rush for the front!

The Wrath Of Ian P Strikes Again

Great post: how the other half thinks.

Maybe we should have a special section for ?I?ve never seen it but I know I wouldn?t like it? quotes.

Or possibly: ?I made up my mind years ago and no longer have to think?.

(It?s okay Alec, I?m not being serious.)

These people obviously believe what they read in their newspapers without realising that their newspapers tell them what they know they want to read.

I recently saw a NIB (news in brief) in a local newspaper ? kindly donated by a friend.

According to this story the town has its very own Tranquility Sanctuary For Elderly Cats.

Apparently, dear old souls buy and sell each others jewellery, cakes, bric-a-brac, etc, in aid of distressed moggies.

So it?s: ?look after the cats and fuck the poor, disadvantaged, homeless?? and so on.

On no evidence at all, I somehow believe that Iris would approve.

And join.

PS I rather like cats ? but that?s not the point.

Some people are just ?set in their ways? I guess.

Sorry, Righteous, I wouldn't want to rain on your parade, but you will find that Iris Moseley is a devout follower of your touchy-feely leader, Tony Blair, and has been known to support suppression of Page Three.

I was told years ago that the largest collection of pornography was owned by the Vatican. Also, has she not read about the priests/vicars accused of sexual abuse of children.

If that's what they get up to at these regular meetings, I'll prefer to give it a miss and visit the sex shops instead.
