Krome I think your point(s) are well made and overdue. To be poncey about it, cultural differences are manifested in cultural activities, of which porn is increasingly significant (because its now being "allowed" to be). On the whole Germans seem to like bondage, fisting, p*ssing, ugly old women etc, the French seem to like 'elegance', lingerie, gorgeous women. A lot of US porn seems to think that sexy = 'nasty', so lots of grimacing, gurning and urging people to be harder and faster. And all that bore-ing gets boring. British porn is cheaper and more cheerful and thats fine by me, as long as we don't get too many blokes who look like they just walked off a seaside postcard shagging gorgeous girls - it just seems unfair. As for Rocco, he has a market, I guess, but theres nothing more likely to turn me off than a gratuitous piece of sadism in the middle of a scene. I am also an optimist. The BBFC accepts that porn is wanted, but "consensual" is their benchmark, flushing, gobbing and too much of the "nasty" is being cut.
