UK based online porn retailers

Just a quick moan here. I was thinking of submitting this post, then I saw 'mark's' post regarding Vidshop so I thought I definitely would.
It seems to me after having bought several DVDs over the net from various sources that the UK based adult suppliers are, well, pretty crap compared to say, the US based ones. Perhaps I am stating nothing new here, but it just seems like we are lagging behind everyone else. I've no doubts that those involved in the 'industry' in this country take themselves seriously and are not happy with some of the stereotypes associated with the adult industry (compared to the US where it seems porn is just another part of the whole retail game), but it also seems that time after time they let themseleves down with the quality of their service.

To cut a long story short (because i feel i am beginning to rant/waffle) almost everytime I order a DVD from a UK based supplier, it arrives late. If i'm told to expect it between 7-10 days, it'll probably take upto 3 weeks, for example. Most of the time emails are either not replied to or if they are maybe a week later. Whenever I order products from US based companies, they arrive within a week, and emails are answered the same day, sometimes.

It basically boils down to customer service, something which is very important regardless of the industry. It seems lacking in this country and until this aspect of online porn is improved we will always be behind our cousins 'over the pond'.
Come on guys, pull yer fingers out!

Comparing the delivery times of Fully Resourced US Companies to Small UK Backyard Businesses is like comparing chalk & cheese IMHO.

Until the UK is operating on same playing field with regards to the Law
there will alwasy be delays-maybe a little leeway is called for on the customers part

As with any operation you won't know how good their customer service is until you are in dispute over something

That's certainly not my experience: with the (nearly always, necessarily) smaller UK retailers, I usually get the goods inside a week, and some (e.g. Pumpkin/CB) get to me in 48 hrs.
We all know the probs with overseas retailers who claim to have everything in stock, and the occasional high-handedness of US outlets in particular.
Generalising is futile. Best advice is to check the listings here for punters' comments.

Hi all.
What I can't understand is why we pay (imho) way over the odds for our own British films. I see on Nookeys they want ?24.95 for Ben Dover DVDs (all of which is British) and yet I get mine from two Dutch companies for 10 Euros (?7)!!!. Their delivery times are usually about 4 days.

Just the fact that a film is british has very little bearing on the price
The Ben Dover brand is recognised Worldwide
I've seen a few of his vids being sold for ridiculously low prices but most seem to be going for USD20-00 and above plus postage
