Hi Dave,Prague is not so cheap anymore OK food and drinks are cheap but everthing else is on a par with Germany.Also the cheap models,don't think so ?500.00 for a girl and ?250.00 for the guy.

I totally agree that some girls in this industry don't seem to take their work seriuosly i.e replying to jobs, buying new clothes etc.

I would consider myself a professional (as professional as any US model) and many others that I have worked with/know are. I have a vast wardrobe of clothing, toys, shoes etc. and I'm always fully tested!

Well, not just me. All the other GWCs (guys with cameras). We're ruining the industry.

Its so easy to find models on the Internet that:

1) I don't buy porn anymore, I make my own
2) Models have more potential customers and are less inclined to go out of their way for potential clients than they once were

Or maybe I'm wrong!

You?re not ruining it, you've ruined it! But I'm not having a dig at you personally Bobblehat. The current status quo was an inevitable result of the democratisation of publishing. Prices and standards have both fallen as a result.

In theory yes. In practice I would doubt it. 'Shazza the tattooed shop girl' is just not going to have the same allure as a top line glamourpuss like Louise Hodges or Misty McCain did in their day. These types of girls graced the centre pages of top girly magazines that sold in there hundred of thousands every month. This is developing into an interesting discussion now with Bobblehats injection. I was only discussing this very thread yesterday with Mr jobbydealer. We were saying that 1). The so called " names " in the biz these days ( and no offence to any of them ), will never have the status of the girls say 10-15 years ago like Stacy Owen, Charmaine etc etc. They just don't have the same allure. And 2). We couldn't work out who is making any money at it anymore these days unless you're already big like Dave Sullivan, John Graham, Lindsey Honey. Obviously guys like bobble aren't in it to make money. They just want to get their leg over. Which is probably why we all entered into the biz in the first place ( and anyone who says any different is either lying or gay ). Interesting !!!

Interesting, thanks to all the lovely girls who did get in touch. One problem! They were the ones I would have expected, all great girls, most I have worked with and will work with them again, but they have been around in the business. That?s the problem. There are no new girls coming in as models i.e. girls who work in front of a camera. I worked last week with Magda, what a great girl, a breath of fresh air, fun and loved what she was doing despite the long day and the difficult script we gave her. A couple of others simply were not worth the effort, not that they put any effort into what they were doing.
If I have to extend my moan I would have to include the agents we deal with, OK I know they have a difficult job, they book a girl out once then she goes direct next time and direct to all the contacts this photographer gave her but, well that has always been the way of the world. It would be nice though if the agents were honest with the girls or maybe it?s the girls who are not honest with me. When I hear ? I was told it would be three hours work? I want to spit. Lets get it straight, if you go and make a gonzo movie three hours is twice as long as you need. If you are going to do something a little better that just may make you look better then three hours is sometimes half as long as it takes. If I ever get another girl turn up and tell me she has to be back in London for a booking at 5 I will?***##### I DON?T CARE I don?t care if you miss the best job in the world or your significant other will divorce you. I am just pissed off with being dictated to and made to feel guilty for asking for a days work.
As for Dave Wells?s suggestion, yes, it makes sense, we had a great shoot in Prague last time, the girls do want to work and I am not interested in them being cheaper than English girls. The fact of the matter is they are better than English girls, (exceptions of course), better at turning up on time, better at looking like models and not as though they have just crept out of someone?s bed, better at performing sex in front of the camera and they do come to castings and they do bring clothes if asked and they are pleasant and they don?t spend the day texting the entire BT phone book for London and Manchester.
I suppose it has a lot to do with the fact that the money we pay the girls is not that good. When you look at the size of the industry and the enormous amount of money it generates and compare it with the legit film business then the money is pretty crapp. This does not excuse the girls, or the guys, they know what the situation is and should still give 100%. It?s not our fault we can?t pay more, we the producers are not making the money, maybe we should have a trade union and tell the distributors that we want a higher percentage of what they are making and we all know the amounts of money made by some of them.
It?s the age old problem of supply and demand turned on its head, the demand is there, the supply is there but those at the sharp end are not making the money and that?s what its all about.

Do you think its about money, Rem, I don't. The problem I see is there is no glamour. it is full of Gonzo and I understand it has a market but it has ruined our industry, I tried really hard with Violet to show there was a glamorous side nice dresses cocktail parties and movies that were worth working on. What girl in her right mind will start doing hard-core when her second job is "anal ganbang fat bloke aramagedon bukkatte volume 5" (no its not for sale on my website before someone asks).
I ask you would you encourage a new beautiful girl to get into the UK industry or would you send her to Vivid/Wicked/PRIVATE.
