im probably letting myself in for a roasting here but whats new!

I agree rem. There are some established girls out there that are professional but the calibre of new girls is dismal.

I was filming on a set the other day with a group of new girls where for the first time ever, had i also been performing, I would have refused to work with some of the girls.

I know when I started performing I had to work most of it out myself but I knew at least to turn up on time, bathed with clean hair and a good wardrobe. Thats common scense.

I never had a producer or agent remind me to get my nails done or my hair cut or go get some new clothes cos ive been shot in all my current ones.

I just had to be stuck in front of some of the super stars to feel inadequate and get my act together. i learnt fast.

I know of girls who these days have the attitude - 'well im getting fat - spotty- smelly blah blah blah but im still getting work so i wont make the effort to correct myself'.

Im curious to see what these girls with the above attitude will do when the EU laws change and the eastern european girls who are professional and will travel start coming into our country.

Ok. we have some girls that can put on a good performance in this country but acting ability or what ever u want to call it isnt enough alone. as are looks without personality.

Maybe we should pay teresa may or someother long standing model with good standards to open a performer training school. lol.
Like they do for fashion models.

although having just had that moan, that doesnt mean i intend not to make it part of my job as a producer to get the best out of what im given to work with.

All it takes is to fully brief a model on even the simplest of things when u book her as to what u want and expect from her.

Then on the day if her hair/make up/wardrobe isnt right have the guts to put it right and then shoot an exceptable scene rather than a sub standard one.

i love my job always give 100% i get most of my work from my personal emails& not agencys my friends & family know wat i do & havnt got a problem in fact some of them are very proud of me cos i got of my ass & done wat i wanna do people like me i like them i have a personality ok im not as famous as some but i do love wat i do & thats wat counts there ive said my peice we aint all the same u know some of us do really love our job & want to give it our best shot so dont all tar us with the same brush cheers

Stonevid Some truth in that, the real nub of the whole thing is, why should the girls work on film sets for ?300 - ?400 per day when they can work in the clubs doing whatever they do and make twice or three times that and be anonymous. They need no talent; they don?t have to put any effort into anything they do and they take home loads of dosh.
It is wrong to call them models, they are not, I am just bemoaning the shortage of MODELS. I have no gripe with the industry, it has never been easy and the same people have always made the money, and those people are not the producers.
