The direction of British Satalite Channels

I have been looking at all the satalite programs and its looking like more and more Euro and US films are dominating our screens. I watched the Playboy channel last night and was very happy to see 4 shows in a row by Viv Thomas and John Chalk. The women were great looking and the screen shoots were fantastic. On TAC Dan Under and 2 US films were shown.

What has happend to the British intake of programs, I would love to see more from Cathy Barry and Ben Dover on the channels. Although I do love watching the beautiful girls of eastern Europe in hot B/G action (the likes of Mia Stone, Barbella, Eve and Tiffany Diamond), we are seeing little Boy/Girl films comming from the UK.

Does anybody else think the same?

I guess it's because it's not really worth any UK producers while making quality programs for satellite. The sat channels can't or won't pay the requisite sums that quality program making entails. So, if they do purchase quality progs it has to be from the Europeans or Yanks. Those programs have already been made and paid for producers on commissions, or freelanceers, the dough originating from comparatively wealthy US and European adult networks. So when they sell something to UK broadcasters it's just a bit of extra 'beer money.'

If there was as much dough available to UK sat channels as there is to straight terrestrial channels I'm sure there would be much more interest by the adult channels in commissioning quality porn dramas and extravaganzas. But as TV becomes more fragmented so does the fixed pot of viewsers/subscribbers money, meaning that many TV channels are poorly funded. It's a bit of a downward spiral that will lead to even cheaper, crapper, blander and ever more vacuous program content. Even the mighty BBC is not immune - have you noticed how every other BBC program is a DIY, cookery, Real Life, i.e., DV cam series, or another 'Pop-Tart' contest, instead of the sumptuous dramas and quality comedies of the past?

I suggest, that you immediately investigate TVX, if you want British content , I have made at least 13 series for them of which all, apart from Eurochicks and a series of Badfellas are using British girls, you will also find Bendover, Omar, a variety of Road Trips in fact most of the shows are British content as far as I can see, apart from some late night films.

I used to have TVX, but I found the women unattractive. I notice that Women in UK who do Boy/Girl work is deteriorating and even Angel Long is considering quitting Boy/Girl films. In Europe the girls are fantasticly good looking and go as far as DP as oftern as TAC show a Girl/Girl show.

I would love to see more of Cathy Barry girls like Laura Meadows, Laura Jones, Hayley Finch and Jane Whitehouse getting involved with More Boy/ girl stuff.

Is it just me or does anyone else agree?

I'm disappointed that you think the English girls are "unnattractive". I've shot a couple of hundred Eastern European girls in my time, the trouble is that they look like they've come out of a mould, I think English girls are just much more human and fun. That's probably why the Yanks are shipping them over to shoot them, by the ton.
