We are losing the plot a little and the input is very useful from all but what we are looking to do on our member sites is to get away from downloading for both slow and fast connections and supply our movies on CD/VCD which has been authored to play both on PC and TV with a higher quality mpeg1 full screen output.
The question is really 'Would members be happy to wait for their movies to be shipped to them' bearing in mind many on slow speed connections couldn't download them anyway so downloading 500/1k broadband movies which is the only real full screen quality is restricted to broadband 512k/ 1/2mb links anyway.
So a member signs up 30/90 days and in their subscription they can choose their VCD movies and they are shipped to them (not downloaded) within 4/7 days. We are not planning to create CD/VCD's to sell as we are more than happy with our DVD quality and so are customers.
