New fish

Post by corwin »

hello everyone

Never posted to this forum before - so this is me popping my cherry

I don't work in the industry - and was curious having read a number of the discussions over the last few days as to how the regulations are different in the Uk to the US. Are the artists in this country better protected than their counterparts stateside? Are there concerns that a similar situation could arise here in the UK?

I always assumed (perhaps naively and erroneously) that in order to work in the industry you had to provide proof of a recent HIV test. Is this not the case?

On a seperate note I was surprised to hear that some charities refused to accept donations from the industry - I wasn't actually aware that a charity could refuse lawfully acquired donations.

I think charities can turn away money if they feel it affects their brand or gives negative press to their organisation.
