Try AVG from it's completely free, just register your email, & choose the completely free version, I have that, & it never cost me a penny, i update as often as i wish, daily, weekly, or fortnightly, you can set the preferances yourself.
then get ZoneAlarm (also use the free version, after registering your email addy, again it's free), then get yourself Ad-Aware 6 to kill other shit on your computer as well.
