Stereotypical Vicar:

"Verily Mr and Mrs Dover, I name this child...er, are you absolutely sure you want him to be called Benedict?"

Naah. I could never happen.

Lindsey is a bit of a girly name so it's got to be that. I mean, if a bloke wanted to choose an alias he'd go for something like Brad, Jake - or Steve - but not Lindsey. Perhaps this explains his chosen career. After all, no one's going to mistake you for a girl if you spend your life porking them.

Er, and before you point it out, I know Alex is also a girl's name.

OK for anyone who couldn't give a flying toss, look away now. My real name is Simon Lindsay James Honey, and I went to Borden Grammar School in Sittingbourne Kent. I was expelled for basically being a smartarse flash little sod who always wanted to be the centre of attention. When I left school I worked in Newquay as a drummer and a children's entertainer called 'Uncle Simon'. Then I decided to be a pop star and I didn't think Simon fitted the bill somehow, [not many pop stars called Simon back then. Probably still aren't as far as I know. Bit like Kevin really, both crap pop star names] so I dropped that and have been Lindsay ever since. When I was a male stripper I was called Hot Rod due to my [then] similarity to Rod Stewart. Then when I was a caberet singer I was [The Fabulous!] Steve Jackson. When I was a photographer for Escort I was called Brian Wilson, after the editor's favourite musician. Then when I started PRIVATE video with Berthe Milton we didn't want people to think I was a woman director with a name like Lindsay. So, I named myself after my favorite singer Steve Perry. Then, whilst thinking up the idea for a UK based gonzo series I thought of the name Ben Dover, which came to me after looking at the cover of Bendover Babes by John Stagliano. So now you know!!!

I beleive this topic also links in well to the one about the current home town of Laura Jones, as I beleive it to be Bristol and Ben is sharing his life with a Bristol girl, Linzi Drew, who once appeared on Match of the Day(remember it? It was a program on the Beeb on saturday nights and featured football), albeit a breif appearance as cheerleader for Bristol City.
