Yes, I think the article should have made more reference to her sources, i.e. the various discussions here. And apart from some particular details the whole article could refer to the mainstream uk film business vs Hollywood.

However I was intrigued by Joanna's exhortation to talent to take control and get into production. Now there's a paradox here. In order not to exploit talent she will either (a) produce only solo video's of herself or (b) set the company up as a partnership where all performers are equally remunerated. Be interesting to see which route she takes.

Hi,

I try to offer the talent that works for me as many opportunities to derive further revenue than the fixed payment for a scene.
I do this by automatically providing all of the softcore and hardcore stills for a shoot for use on their web site along with a reduced length clip which they can offer as a stream to their members.
In addition, I also offer a web site content-management system and personalised online video store with back-end fulfillment, both of which run on a percentage share basis.

I tried to do an equal-share production (Brazen Shemales) but it took a year before the revenue was deemed to have matched what I would have offered on a fixed-payment basis.
