Legal Advice please

What is the legal responsabilty of a hosting company that is hosting a third party web site that has content on there site without permission from the owner of the said content.

Both the host and web site in question are based in the US and this is not the 1st time this web site has done this, other webmaster in my field have also had issues with him.

In short i want him closed down since he's nicked some of my best stuff starring Bev Cocks

Any help will be appreciated.

so they have your pictures on there?
email the host and they should shut the site down right away whilst they contact the people in question to sort it out, ive had my pictures on sites before without permission and the site was shut down instantly by the host...

If the site has put your url/copywrite info on the pics/video or page you might have more of a problem about it because they are acknowledging the pics are yours/your website... :-/
although they should still shut it down because its not legal

This guy didn't nick pics ... he went the whole hog and nicked my videos and even went as far to trim the video so the copyright notice was removed...

Fucking parasite....

ah joe and his trusty DMCA.

mick u should only need to go as far as to issue one of these to get the job done.
If u get the response i got from the golds/sullivan when joe came to my rescue then ur on the right track.

mind u i'll never appear in 'the sport' now. damn shame!
