indecent photographs

Post by joe king »

a response I got from the Home office rep

'
It is a matter for the jury to decide whether or not photograph is indecent.
In deciding whether a photograph is indecent the judge should give some
guidance of what is indecency. The test most often cited is that of Lord
Parker (R vs Stamford)'namely offending against the recognised standards of
propriety'. It was also held in R vs Owen that in deciding whether a
photograph was indecent, the jury were entitled to take into account the age
of the child depicted in it.'

I would like to know how you phrased your original question to them.
They say "the jury were entitled to take into account the age
of the child depicted in it", so can I take it from that, that
you were specifically asking about pictures of children?

If that is the case I don't need any jury to tell me that,
any normal person could judge that for them selves.

What is your point. Are you a nonce? If so make a date with me.

my point is 'indecent' is a matter of opinion. I am not trying to say I am a paedophile. The question was - "what is the definition of 'indecent'".
