Apologies if this has been done to death before, but I did a cursorary search round the forum and couldn't see a recent similar topic.
It might just be me, but it seems like after a purple patch (no pun intended) in the mid to late 90s, new Ben releases have tailed off slowly but surely.
Now, laying my cards on the table, for me no one does British gonzo like Mr Dover. I admire the valiant efforts of OEJ in keeping the flag flying, and in truth I should invest in a few more of his titles
It seems like Ben had no problem finding new talent back in the heyday, so I'm assuming this is an industry wide problem?
Or has he decided hes got enough flash cars to last him a lifetime and hes finally decided to retire his camera and his tackle for good?

Whilst I would never dream of speaking for Ben - or anyone else, I would simply say "tempus fugit" (time flies)
The "good Old Days" are gone, never to return. Maybe that's a good thing in itself, who knows, but such is life and we soldier on in a different ether.

I don't know about Ben Dover - if he's resting on his laurels he deserves it and good luck to him. However I think One Eyed Jack and Marino produce some truly outstanding material themselves - they have taken british "gonzo" in new directions and their movies are innovative and great fun to watch.

Sounds like I should be seeking out some of these films, any specific recommendations?

Don't want to put words in Ben's mouth (or anything else for that matter), but from chatting to him, I think he's just being very selective about who he shoots.
He has a new US deal now, too, so don't write him off just yet!

Certainly fewer releases but the quality is still there. Also, from a business point of view he's generating plenty of income from the back catalogue being re-released as R18.
As far as OEJ and Marino stuff is concerned, most of their stuff is reviewed here (or will be shortly). I have to say that most of the reviews are, ahem, accurate.
