I wanted to say that too but thought I'd be way off topic. Although it's usually very peachy, this can be a nasty little planet sometimes.

As a NY'er living here in the UK I can only say Thank you!!! Won't be online much over the coming days but am grateful to hear the kindest from everyone who has contacted myself over this.

Lets hope sanity returns.

Mike,

You know our thoughts are with you and your fellow countrymen and women. A truly mortifying and unjustified event perpetrated by truly evil people.

Love,

Ditto. Sometimes things that are off-topic in a minor way are on topic in a bigger forum to which all the little forums are part.

To all our brothers and sisters in NYC and America, our thoughts are with you, and prayers to whatever Goddess or God you believe in are being sent your way.

My thoughts too go out to the innocent individuals caught up this horrendous incident, and to the families now going through hell with worry, or confirmed bad news.

BUT!!!!!!!!!

It's a cheap publicity stunt for Cathy Barry to pop up on here for a bit of free advertising..... post a message of sympathies yes, but to advertise your bloody website as well is pathetic and in very bad taste.

Not just you...... but along comes Wendy!!!!!

Where's Layla(squiggle)Jade I ask....?????? And Rebekah?????

Surely they'll be putting their word in soon.

Sad...... very very sad.....

Condolances to all concerned.

WM.

ps..... don't want to seem callous, but don't the IRA get quite a bit of funding from the US.... now its against them they don't like it..... now they know how we feel.

IF THIS MESSAGE IS DELETED THEM I RESPECTFULLY SUGGEST THAT THE WHOLE THREAD IS..... IT IS INSULTING THAT THESE FEMALES SEEK FREEBIE PUBLICITY BY PURPORTING TO OFFER SYMPATHIES.

....Wireless Mast you are truly sick. Mike has been a personal friend of mine for years and to suggest I seek publicity from this is a product of your tiny insignificant mind!

So if he is a 'personal' friend..... why not send him a 'personal' e-mail, or make a 'personal' call????

But no.. instead you put it up on here so we can all see.....

I rest my case..

I must admit - I was thinking the same as Wireless Mast when I saw Cathy's post.

Also, in a recent trip to the US I found myself having to defend against a bunch of ill-informed Yanks saying that we should free Northern Ireland and were generally backing the "Irish Freedom Fighters"

It is also insulting to suggest that they are seeking freebie publicity. Isn't it possible that somewhere deep in your hardened, cynical heart a little voice might be saying they are uttering genuine emotions? Cathy, Wendy and the other models who post on this site are people first and foremost and have feelings. Why do you feel you have to accuse them of exploiting an obscene gesture against humanity as a cheap way to publicise themselves? I don't believe it of either of them.
Also, isn't it a little bit despicable to compare the murder of potentially tens of thousands of people in an hour with the business in Northern Ireland? Whatever your feelings on that subject, this is an entirely different thing. Could you not have kept such comments for a couple of days? The people of the US will be hurting badly right now--as would we if it were London that were hit. They need support, not someone saying "serves you right for supporting the IRA." Or do we blame an entire nation for a minority?
Frankly, I'm sickened, and I expected better of the people who post to this forum.
