I've noticed that the 'career' of a porn starlet seems to span about 3 years on average, there are of course some one timers and some longer lasting.
I just wondered if this is because they tired of the industry or the industry tired of them.
I'm curious because there are some models now retired that I'd like to see more of and I wondered who has had the longest period of activity (apart from LDM)

Normally its the women get tired of the business, the bull shit, the politics that get in the way of a good shag but don't take this as a general comment though, there are many other variations on this. Another popular reason for a career shift would be lack of work, hence a girl may consider escorting...Why not? She shagged other blokes for money, whats the difference. I would say the average expectancy of a models career is usually 6 months before some bloke pops up as a boyfirend and is (understandably) unhappy with her career choice. This last one I find quite laughable if the guy knew what she was doing at the time and met her because of it but hey, each to their own.

In my 7 years of making British porn i've thought about giving up a couple of times but its the love of the attention i get from fans, customers etc that keeps me making films.
All models / producers think they will make it rich when they start this business but only a few do in reality, you have to really enjoy making porn to last.
Some rise from no where to make it big, snub their friends, break all their ties then fall flat on their face & others will always be there plodding along in the shadows. If your good you will last if not its a very short career.

Well with most of it! In my experience the girls that are happy to go along with what the " industry" wants them to be ie; looks and attitude can stay in it for ages.
But if like me you don't take any shit and wont do " favours" to get work then your fucked.
I've made some great friends in porn but have also fallen out with a lot of total assholes along the way.
Its the same as any job, play the game and do what your told and your fine.
Dare to be different, speak your mind and refuse to be controled and your black listed.
