Adult website membership/ porn purchases by card

I am not intending to get in the habit of joining many again, but I wanted to join one relating to one of the favourite models some rave about on here.

My application was declined...presumably as I used a debit card, and not a credit card.

A friend told me that other services on the net (ie buying CD's etc) allowed for use of a debit card, he wouldn't know about adult stuff as I don't think he's into that.

I guess it's a case of put up or shut up, and get my cc in credit enough to use again (was trying to pay it off after obscene - the true meaning of the word! - interest and all that)?

The irony is I have the funds to get a bit of porn at the time being, but I am very reluctant use the credit card.

Nothing wrong with using a Credit Card as long as you can afford it
but with so much free stuff on the net I'm surprised you need to pay at all

Who was the model in question that had you reaching for your hard earned cash?

Hmm, put that way it seems unfair to name her.

Models have to make a living too.

Besides, it wasn't so much a 'pay for my pics site' (although I guess that's what it amounts to), as me wanting to join as there were pics of her indulging in one of my favourite acts, which aren't available elsewhere (on film for instance, due to BBFC or whatever it's called moral guardian / nanny state / B*a*r knows best nonsense telling us what to do, what to like, what we can and can't view in our own homes...).

Like I said, I have funds for certain 'entertainment' (indeed a cousin dragged me up to London on Sunday to buy DVD's, made a refreshing change after laying buying this sort of stuff for a while), it's just paying off an over the limit credit card enough to use that is a bit of a bind.

Ah well, sacrifices must be made for enjoyment...

One more thing, agreed re free stuff on the net, not much need to join the 'proper' sites as they will mostly offer little more than what can be found elsewhere.

Tempted to join ALS again - they've got a cutie from one of the monthlies (Club?) , doing fisting in one of their DVD's.

A lot on the net but unless you know where to look you could easily drive yourself to distraction

I always start with for sample galleries of any site that catches the imagination,move on to

More often than not it'll stop the compulsion to sign-up

"Never join anything" is my motto - because you end up paying for the same stuff that's free. Look in newsgroups, there's more stuff than you can lhandle and spend your money where the real priorities are, like clearing off your balance, because they really do screw you for interest on credit cards. I never buy anything on my cards without paying them off in full when the bill comes in - they just carrying large amounts of cash on my person, nothing more and are necessary for online and hotel/car reservations.

Agreed nachovx re credit card use, advice I had heard time and again but not managed to keep to in practice. I am trying to put that right now - not using the cc just paying it off now.

My life is pretty frugal for now, but everyone needs to treat themselves occasionally, so I do intend to buy the odd DVD.

To save me time searching through loads, are there any reliable well-stocked (and reasonably priced) suppliers who accept debit cards rather than credit cards? If online suppliers can do it for music, one would hope they could do it for porn!

R18dvd shop accepts debit cards and they have a v. good reputation - reasonably priced dvd's delivered very quickly.
