Re: r18 on tv - another question
If you want to point another dish at 13E, you can watch all of the British stuff uncensored on Spice Platinum

Some nice material on Spice Platinum. Well worth the subscription fee
Re: r18 on tv - another question
You can not get Spice Platinum using Sky Digital ive just checked. Anyway around it
Re: r18 on tv - another question
You?ll need another decoder as it?s a separate system to sky but these dudes are mega helpful
Though Spice Platinum is good I?d suggest getting a 4 in 1 subscription as the boys at Spice Plat do repeat an awfull amount of stuff which is good for us coz we get paid per showing but not so good for you as they show month to month.

Yes, wait till next month. Ofcom are expected to announce that R18 will be permitted on UK TV then when the new code is announced. Broadcasts might well start by August if not before.

If, as Paul says, R18 is allowed on TV, where does that leave the current restriction re sex shops?

As it stands and idiotic as ever. Mind you there are several important cases in the courts and the next 3 months should be interesting to say the least.
If all else fails IPTV will probably be the final nail in the coffin for any effective restrictions on R18 type content, although I doubt the law will be changed for years and will linger on as laws do well past there sell by date creating chaos and inconsistency until it can be overruled by some means such as the ECHR, or perhaps it might be abandoned as some of the postal restrictions on indecency were (As an example of lingering laws I believe that piracy on the high seas was still a capital offence in the UK until not so long ago).
