R18 & XXX UK mail order

Post by Riley »

With the number of mails we have received since the post on the UK court case which has only confirmed what was already known. Just to let past and present customers know this ruling has no effects on our internet mail order operation at all as we are EU based so can trade legally into the UK.

So business as usual but if you have any concerns mail us here: admindvd@telefonica.net

Riley you can probably help us to understand this a little better so I'll ask the question. After following to many of the links posted and doing some of my own google research it's more about how the sale is processed rather than origin of generation? I'm getting that it makes no difference if you call a number in a paper or process an application on line the difference is where the funds are processed and the country that the items are shipped from that deem it legal?
I use a well known company that process my cc via the netherlands yet my items come via post office mail with the county clearly marked which qualifies it as internal mail and deems the process ilegal?

Correct but the chances of the non UK company who process your order getting prosecuted are virtually none.

However there is also an offence where if the company/distributor gets caught shipping in the UK on behalf of the company processing the order they will be prosecuted for Aiding and Abetting the offence as one of the companies who where prosecuted last year found to great costs.

No comment you will have to research that yourself.

From a court case in February 2002 it transpired that the prosecutions case all hung on finding postal material to confirm the items where shipped within the UK they didn't so the case was thrown out but the Met/Ops went to great lengths to source the packaging.

It cost the Met a lot of money to replace all the dupe kit, computers, masters and other items they threw in the back of a transit all cock sure they had a conviction and it would not be coming back. Now that did bite the taxpayers in the arse.

Well you answered my question on Silver Wolf by giving me the date.

It can't be Silver Wolf as the case I was referring to was in 2003.
