Well I certainly got a good response to my last post although how we got onto the steel industry, unions and Mrs Thatcher was a wonder.

Thanks for the encouraging comments though. In general I think you always get what you pay for in this world and the same is true of models and actresses. Mind you even if you pay them well but treat them badly you'll still get a bad performance. Actually this sort of thing baffles me. I always give my best if I've been treated like a human being. I won't be quite as good if I've been left hanging around while the producers/photographers get themselves sorted. You wouldn't believe the times I've been asked to turn up at 10, arrived there on time but not started filming 'till 5 because the lights haven't been set up/the camera doesn't work/the producer hasn't had his breakfast/lunch/dinner. Not a professional environment condusive to producing a good product.

I've spoken to a few of my modelling friends and we reckon the details on average payments for hardcore video work are pretty much as follows.

Single girl, girl/girl ?200
Boy/Girl ?250-300
Boy/Girl with anal ?300-350

Having said that Fiona Cooper generally pays about ?400 for an hour's work and I've been on some shoots where I've done 30 minutes girl/girl with a little watersports for ?300. When I've worked in Europe ?500 for a scene is the norm.

So there you go. Question is do you think these averages are fair payments? If you think it too much I challenge you to be stark naked with a cock up your arse in front of half the world and some cameras for ?300 !

I think your average payments are about right and fair I think if anyone tried to charge more they would have be very good. Its not about the money, Violet was offered ?1000 a scene in Barcelona and said no. The minute you get exclusive everyone wants you and the offers go up. Same as if you go on contract with a top company you only make about 4 scenes a month, the rest of the time is promotion work. You end up with the same money without getting pounded every day. also there is less product of you out there so you can control the market better.

Its like everything supply and demand, If jorden decided to do hard-core tommorow she could name her figure, but everytime afterwards her rate would go down, As for check out girl how many are there, how many jobs are available, how long can you work as one, these questions are all relivant to the equasion..this is where some techy comes up with a F=MA kind of thing.

I don't think it IS enough to be honest. I have a friend who's just started tabledancing and she's making about a grand a week and doesn't even touch anyone. Considering what you're putting yourself through and the perminent repercussions (it'll come back to haunt you long after you've wanted to move on), and going on what they probably get in lavish studio vids in the US, I think you should be getting a lot more. Also, YOU'RE worth more, maybe someone a little less attractive than yourself should take what's offered a run, I think you'd get whatever you asked for But that's the key word, LAVISH. Something a lot of Brit vids can't always afford to be, especially when it appears there are only four shops in the whole country allowed to sell the damned things! I have heard all this table dancing stuff before, very few girls earn big money at it and I know some who work 12 hours for a lot less, table dancing. I suggest you ask around.
In the States only the good girls earn good money and they come with a menu. Choose what you want a pay the rate. I also would like to point out look at Vivid's or Wicked's web sites and see what you get for your money. Like I said its about supply and demand. Girls like Wendy, Layla and Violet work bloody hard but money is not the only reason.

i knew two girls who about three years ago took a deliberate decision to make as much money as possible in porn. both are on this site, one under her real name. both did mags and vids including anal and watersports.
they made good money (compared to my income after long years of highly educated toil) but almost every producer/photographer they came across tried to rip them off in some way, either by simply not paying them what they were promised in the first place, introducing 'deductions' for almost everything or the classic "no, we pay in dollars, what did you think we meant?'.
one left the buisiness after contracting a rare blood disorder which still lies her low for weeks at a time, and the other was introduced to escorting by a famous name also on this site.
both now have 'proper' jobs, relationships and in one case a real fear of being 'found out'as this would ruin her new job with an international agency.
maybe this is the other side of the coin as i know these are not unique experiences, maybe we should start a new thread called- what models pay?

I think Jenna Jameson would disagree with that BUT for the most part you are correct, even if there are some girls that make big money in a lot of cases it is either to support thier drug habit, loser boyfriend or because they are a single mother.
