After reading the previous thread about how much models are paid, got me thinking ...

How many vids/dvds would the producers expect to sell ?

When I worked for Shiny Online I was paid ?300 for a girl/girl scene with anal (not yet released) and they said that they had to sell 1500 copies to cover thier costs and make a couple of thousand pounds, any less than 1500 and they had wasted thier time, any more and that is when they started to make money.

I produced Shinny's first videos with Remmington 16 pluss years ago and they are still selling this is a long term project based over years and rights deals. I welcolm anyone into the industry to make a million but they better bring 2 million to make it,

Well, there a lot of ifs n' buts here Chanta, but let's assume the Shinny Online were just selling a single video of your girl/girl scene direct to punters for ?20.00. And let's assume an extravagant total budget (for a girl/girl vid) of ?2,500.00. If they went on to sell 250 copies they would be into 100% profit territory. However, if the Shiny Online videos were distributed through various other companies and outlets and Shinny only received a small percentage cut of the sale, them conceivably they might have to sell that amount. Like I said there are many ifs and buts, we don't know the full facts. But, in my professional opinion, and if you were a guy, I would have to say that they were probably pulling your plonka!

Dibble ? what about BBFC, Cover design printing, running a company the size of shinny, TAX, VAT and the telephone calls big Dave has to make to sell the units. Come on. And the ?20. price
They sell to sex shops who sell at ?20 so what do the shops pay the distributers.. I recon they are probably about right with the figures..In my profesional opinion of course,

Yeah, I'd go with that. I just wasn't aware of the circumstances of Shinny Online, i.e., what type of company they are, how they market/distribute their product etc. But I could easily envisage a situation were a company paid ?600 for a couple of girls, say ?400.00 for transport, camera tapes and refreshments. Offered the product direct to the punters via a regular mailshot (that would be going out anyway) and didn't concern themselves too much with tiresome red tape e.g. BBFC, TAX, VAT, etc.
