Starbucks or kebabs?

Post by chatterji »

I recently bought 'Corruption' and, 'Now That's What I Call Porn.' Why? Two words: Lorna Lace. I saw her on Real Couples and thought it was an incredible performance. Inevitably, however, the two dvds I bought on the strength of that are, quite simply, shite. Aside from the poor camera work, she's no actress, and yet for Real Couples she was so, ermm...real. The same thing goes with Wendy Taylor, in my opinion. Infamous performance for Ben Dover. Nothing else has come close. British girls tend to be more naturalistic than their American counterparts, but why is being yourself so difficult?

In my experience all porn is very hit and miss, which can be bloody irritating. Line up the same performers in two different productions and chances are you'll get very different results in terms of performance quality. Which is bewildering, given there's no plot or script or narrative, bar the number and nature of acronymed acts that are required: BJ, DP, CIM, GSOH, VC, OHMS.

Question is, would porn be better if it were Starbucks - reliable, well-packaged, you know what you'll get every time, or is it better as a kebab shop - content and quality completely random and often half-cooked?

Getting the best out of a girl/ guy or couple on the day is dependent on a variety of factors...Its not like an office job even though some performances look like it. People have to be motivated if they turn up out of the cold or plain be able to pretend well and lets face it, there are only a handful of people in this industry that can act and perform well in a sexual scenario...The most important thing is to warm people up to the occasion and you get better more natural results out of them...or a professional looking one at least.

I find that most performances usually reflect the personality of the producer/ director...but thats just me. Think about it, you can get a good, polished performance that is cold on a set that is over produced, glossy but the film makers know how to make a film but the sex has no soul because chemistry on a set like this isnt so important as getting the performers to do what is required.

The appeal of home made videos is that people are having sex in their own environment but the frustrating thing is, sometimes the footage is not caught right, resulting in shaky cam and all things frustrating about amateur films...Yeah, I guess its really hit and miss then. Some of us do it better than others but we all get off days.
