It's about time this man was given the credit he deserves for keeping the peace around here, and what better than a campaign to have him as the next secretary general of the United Nations. Think about it, we've had a Norwegian, a Peruvian, an Egyptian and even a Nazi in the past, so why not a Welshman (this was rhetorical; no answers to that question please!)?
In all seriousness, though, thanks to Alec, Phil, Woodgnome et al for ensuring all-out war doesn't break out here. We may get a bit tetchy with each other at times, but this forum is still providing valuable information to us all.

alec is on secondment to the royal engineers (military engineer - forum moderator) and leaves for pakistan, shortly.
