It's pretty clear to me exactly who the blogger here is trying to 'finger' per se, and from the looks of it, it looks like one of the folk who've commented on the piece has arrived at the same conclusion as I have.
What I find odd is that the blogger stops short of naming the girl in question...if she is on a quarantine list, then surely that is a matter of record and not in the least bit contentious? It's not as if you are accusing someone of being HIV+....they are either on the quarantine list or not.
Maybe the story is true, and this performer has been working whilst under quarantine, but by leaving it open to speculation it just puts more people at risk. I believe I
have arrived at the correct conclusion (or at least the conclusion the blogger wanted me to reach), but he might be refering to someone else entirely.
As it stands, the lack of any hard details or even a quarantine list leaves me more predisposed to believing this is just an attempted slur on said performer. If the story is true, then shame on the blogger for not naming names and leaving not only the identity of the performer but also the validity of the entire story open to speculation...it could be 100% true but I am still inclined to disregard it on these grounds, which is all the more unfortunate should the story prove to hold some kernel of truth within it.

I have been working in Italy, but have NOT worked since. Infact, I dropped out of 2 shoots last week because I heard this rummour. I had fresh tests of the people I worked with faxed to me, and they were negative. As far as I know, there have been no HIV reported cases.
I would never work if I thought there was a bigger risk than normal. So if it's me who is 'the person' who is being talked about here, rest asurred that I have NOT been working, and I HAVE seen fresh tests of the people i worked with after I returned.
The only problem I had with with the tests in Italy was the language barrier, and I pesterd the director to check over them with me.
I don't know of anyone who has been diagnosed positive, and I certainly don't know of any quarintine list.
Obviously, I can't be 100% sure if this whole story is false, but certainly have not been confronted with any sort of information to prove these allegations. I would hope that if there was any truth in this story, someone would be decent enough to at least inform the performers involved... If there even is any??? And to not spread any slandourous rummours about what sort of person I am.
Shame on the Blog for not naming me, but shame on the person who called me a 'bitch' without there being any truth in the information provided.

As has been said many, many times before, our tests are only as good as the day they were taken - and, in the cases of many STDs, only as agood as a prescriptive period before....

I'm glad you've replied to this topic Isabel, because reading between the lines, it seemed to me that the blog entry was definitely trying to incriminate you.
As I said in my original reply, the failure of the blogger to display a quarantine list or even name the performer supposedly working whilst under quarantine (both of which should be made public in the interest of other performers' safety) means that the posting cannot be taken seriously, which would be all the more sad if the information it contained was true, or even partly true.
As it stands, I'm still of the opinion it was posted to slur you and thus deprive you of work in the process, perhaps not by the person running the blog but by whoever gave him the 'information' in the first place...don't know if you have any prime suspects in mind, but that sort of behaviour is definitely not on!

I thought it would be over with when I realised that the blog had been pulled, but the fact that it has been put on LukeIsBack.com has made me feel sick to my stomach.
I made no secret of the fact that I was working in Italy on several message boards, and it is so obviously directed towards me.
The upsetting thing is just that people who don't know me are going to read that and judge me on something that isn't even happening. People who already don't like me for whatever reasons on other message boards won't let this drop I'm sure.
It's a horrible to feel that someone could even think that I'd work under quarantine... even though as far as I know, there isn't even a list.
