Anytime someone wants to bash porn they can, have and will drag out stuff like Max Hardcore.

Yes, most of the girls he works with know what they're getting into.

Yes, most of those want to "push the envelope" (the rest just want the money, which is the reason most regular folks do jobs).

But he's still a liability to the industry, as are the other "rough sex" producers.

The Bush Administration (which needs to be the title of a video if it isn't already) is setting up another attack on porn now, starting with trying to get access to Google's search records. When this kicks off properly it wont be the mainstream titles that get waved in front of the press and Congressional Committees, it will be choking, vomiting and "donkey punching".

Porn is a very broad church but it exists in a real world that doesn't have exactly the same set of values.

And some of the people who "don't like it" it wont just "not watch it", they will put a lot of effort into making sure than no-one else can watch it either.

That's just the way people are.

I'm always amazed by the furore that any mention of Max Hardcore gets on this forum, I'm always guessed that it's to do with his now infamous appearance on the C4 docu "Hardcore", but uncomfortable though it was to watch I believe that this was probably part of his great plan:

Firstly, how many people (even porn fans) in the UK had heard of Max Hardcore prior to this doc, I certainly hadn't. I suspect sales of his tapes & DVDs have seen a marked rise since the docu was made.
Secondly, he did nothing in that show that he doesn't do in any of his other films: he dressed Leeanne in a jailbait outfit with heels and tried to push his fist in her mouth - granted this is not ordinary porn behaviour but I presume that her "interview" where he pulled off her pants and had sex with her within minutes of being introduced isn't ordinary porn behaviour either.
I don't believe that Leeane or the docu-makers were party to any of this and it doesn't prevent me from still believing that Leeanne went through a horrible experience, but it certainly raised MH's profile in the UK and no doubt made him plenty of cash too. Why else would a girl with so many definite reservations about doing an anal scene be taken to one of his shoots (has Max ever done a scene that didn't involve anal?), if not to advertise his particular brand of porn to a new audience watching a UK nationally broadcast docu.

I recall that at the time there was an outrage and many on-line adult retailers refused to stock any MH titles, I've now noticed that many of these same sites now not only stock and sell his titles but also offer a free 1 minute mpeg trailer of most of his films.

There's been a large group of British girls that have appeared in his films including Layla Jade, Rebekah Jordan, & Roxy Jezel.
Barbie Bucxxx appears to have done a fair few MH films and keeps going back for more. I would suggest that only they can answer any MH related queries and put this topic to bed. Is he a dirty filth-monger who abuses weak & exploited girls, or is he taking the next logical step in porn making?
Any chance of one his co-stars answering on this forum?

People out there already want to shut down anything to do with porn.

I'm just suggesting that giving them more ammunition is a bit self-destructive.

There are two debates here;

(1) Is Max a terrible person?

(2) Is his work (and the work of others who do similar scenes) damaging to porn's future?

The people who have worked with Max are certainly the ones to answer Question (1).

Everyone who works in, or watches, porn has a say in Question (2).

We've being through this "Max Hardcore, is he a c**t or not ? He certainly raises some people's ire, and I have to be say, mine included; and I have said in the past of what I think of him.
As anther Forumite points out, Max Hardcore produces just the kind of shite porn that the Bush Administration aim to go after, so I think for the sake of good wholesome porn, we have to repeat time and time again that Max Hardcore makes really bad and offensive porn...Period.
I, also would like to see the treatment meted out to "Hardcore" himself, in porn film, that he foists on "His girls",see how he would like a fist rammed into his mouth.
Finally, I think that anyone who gets their rocks off on his stuff, should really go and see a Phyciatrist, Oh! and they'probably male and SINGLE......

MH doesnt make the particular type of film id like to see - i personally think he goes too far. However judging by the number of films he makes and dvds he sells he must have a fair sized viewing audience.

We have to remember on ths forum there are no angels in here! Granted him shoving his fist in someones mouth is unpleasant, but what about that dirty old man ben dover spunking in young ladies eyes?!

Ok folks, it seems you all have an opinion about Max Hardcore. My question which i raised was did cathy Barry do any scenes with Max Hardcore. Because i would have been amazed if she had of, knowing the way Max Hardcore goes about his work. I personally dont mind watching a bit of his work but i know a lot of people cant stand the guy. I also remember watching that Channel 4 Documentary about him, and seeing the girl break down in tears. It seems today that if theres a demand for that sort of porn then he will keep producing movies, how long as he been going now exactly.

man, what aload of bullshit you speak. Please give me an example of "good wholesome porn"...? would that be Christoph Clark? Jules Jordan? Buttman?....I'm sorry but what you deem as wholesome to other people is offensive. The Bush Administration wants rid of Pornography, period. Why, because they're right wing religious evangelists who want to live in a Pleasentville type world. If you got rid of Max Hardcore for the sake of "wholesome porn" as you put it, someone else would be top of the hit list.

It seems alot of you people have this idea that Max Harccore is some kind of evil man who abuses women. If you actually sit and watch a Max Hardcore movie he comes across as actually quite a nice guy when he's speaking to camera in-between scenes, as in also does in interviews. The sex itself, it's not that far away from what thousands of other studios produce on a daily basis.
