The notion of an amateur as being someone who is not paid is an upper class view of class society.

Upper class twits loved o be "amateur" artists and athletes. That is why they dominated the modern Olympics until recently. If you haev seen that classic film "Chariots of Fire" you will know class, god and the notion of the amateur is it's central theme.

Amateurs make money, every athlete in the modern Olympics is endorsed, the difference these days is their attitude. Amateurs do it because they love it. They still have to work at it, but they do it because it pleases them (and they get rewarded too).

Well i class myself as an Amateur and i have been doing photo/video shoots for years and i suppose if it bacomes your main source of income then that would make you a proffessional and the same would apply to models, i know some brilliant amateur photographers whose work you see all the time in magazines and they sell their pics because it is an expesive hobby especially if you are using models and they just like to see their work published and hopefully get enough money back to cover their cost, i suppose the same applys to models if it is their main source of income then they are proffessional thats not to say they are better models than a girl who does it part time and i have done some of my most enjoyable shoots with amateur models, and if anyone knows of a girl that will model for free please let me know!love!

In general a real Amatuer is someone who is new, or doesn't do much. A lot of girls/women do a bit of porn for the adventure. They get paid, but doinga shoot a month (or less) isn't the same as doing 3 a week.
