How hard would it be to give dates of productions in the film database? Perhaps producers and distributors aswell?
I know this site is a labour of love for those who maintain it so I appreciate that what we have is an incredible resource as is. However, it's amazing what you can find out by cross referencing dates with producers and so on. Even if these categories were present but left blank I'm sure we could fill the gaps (ahem) so to speak. Discuss?

DOH! Obviously been looking at the ones without dates and production companies. Feel a bit daft now. I'll scurry back where I came from..........

It's a reasonable question and something we are gradually improving especially for American videos in respect of dates. European ones often do not show dates on their copyright notice. I admit that I usually only include production companies where there are two films of the same title, or where the same scene has been re-packaged in another film. You can usually get production company info from iafd for American films. I try to remember to put this info in the video notes when I have received a screener, but I sometimes forget - apologies to those concerned.
