well its certainly been a long time since ive posted on this forum ...what with my recent move and relocation to denmark and balancing work in europe / uk and for my own site www.crystel-extreme.com. ...

And I ASK IF ANYONE INTERESTED IN THIS SUBJECT WATERSPORTS !!!PLEASE READ MY POST BELOW... AS ITS RELATING TO MEDICAL FACTS I WOULD LIKE TO CREATE AWARNESS TO EVERYONE... OF A DEADLY CONDITON WHICH NEARLY CLAIMED MY LIFE JUST OVER 2 WEEKS AGO ... KNOWN AS " WATER INTOXICATION"
WHERE I DRANK EXCESS AMMOUNT OF WATER OVER A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME DURING A LIVE WATERSPORTS WEBCAM FEED. !!!!


though i shall keep this info swift and brief - AND THERE WILL BE A FULL WRITE UP IN MY DIARY AND BLOG ON MY SITE .. WHILST ALSO , I KNOW SOME OF YOU MAY HAVE BEEN INFORMED ALREADY...

for i havent had chance to read all of you comments , though i would like to draw your attention- and to create awareness within the whole Adult Watersports industry ... (being models , producers and even as many friends and people i know in my normal day to day life as michelle , and not crystel lei .... of the very close to Death Experience I Had !!!! brought on by a medical condition known as Water Intoxication ! (which the drs at basingstoke hospital ,who saved my life confirmed AND ALSO MY BLOOD TEST RESULTS DID TOO ! .... as not only did THIS TERRIBLE ORDEAL START with me blacking out whilst driving down the m4 motorway AT AROUND 12.25 AM , and having to be stopped in a police rolling road bloack ( but i thank GOD , that i did not kill some innocent drivers , police who attended and myself in the accident.... but was swiftly followed by me suffeing several grandmall seizsures(fits ) and ended up in a 3 day coma where it was also belived by the consultant ATTENDING ME, AND MY MOTHER AND FATHER (WHO DIDNT LEAVE MY SIDE ) BEING TOLD I was going to DIE within 72 hrs through organ failure !!!! ( or my brain swellING) from the ammount of water i drank .... AND WHICH WAS STILL PASSING THROUGH ME ) and i urge everyone wheather you belive me or not to look this conditionUP AND THE EFFECTS OF IT ... and just be aware of the medical facts behind drinking to much water during watersport shoots - as this condition can effect anyone !!! YES AnyOne !!!!
and not just athletes or people dancing at raves but anyone .. like you and me !! and has already claimed several lives this year alone !!!!! (may they rest in peace. xxx )

I WRITE HERE TODAY ... AS I'M NOT TELLING ANYONE TO STOP BUT JUST BE AWARE OF THIS CONDITION ..!! AS I LOVED SHOOTING WATERSPORTS AND HAVE BEEN DOING SO FOR OVER 2 YEARS ... AND HAVE WORKED FOR SOME OF THE BEST PEOPLE AROUND , BUT NEVER HAD I EVER BEEN TOLD OR HEARD ABOUT THIS CONDITION AT ANY SHOOT ??

WHICH MAKES ME PRESUME THAT SOME PRODUCERS WERENT AWARE EITHER ???? OR SURELY THEY WOULD NOT EXPECT US TO DRINK LITERS OF WATER ??? I DONT KNOW ?

WHICH ALSO BRINGS ME TO THE DECISSION -THAT THE ONLY PEE I'LL BE DOING IS OF A NATURAL KIND , .. HEH HEE !HAPPY!
SO ULTIMATELY IT BRINGS ME TO MY DECISSION TO CEASE SHOOTING WATERSPORTS ONLY !

WE ALL HAVE STD CERTIFICATES AS WERE AWARE OF STD AND THE EFFECTS OF THEM .. SO AS A GENERAL RULE I THINK IT WISE THAT ANYONE INVOLVED IN THIS FIELD - BE AWARE OF THE RISKS. FOR YOU JUST MIGHT NOT LIVE TO TELL YOUR STORY IF IT HAPPENS TO YOU XXXX
AND I TRULY DONT WANT ANYONES FAMILY TO SUFFER , AS MY FAMILY DID DURING THIER ORDEAL .. AND THANKFULLY I LIVED....

I'M STILL UNDER THE GP .. AS IM NOT OUT OF THE WILDERNESS YET !!
I CURRENTLY AM SUFFERING FROM SHORT TERM MEMORY LOSS , NIGHTMARES AND FLASHBACKS , AND STILL IM UNDER THE GP HAVING BLOOD TEST ... TO ENSURE BIO CHEMISTRY IS CORRECTING ITSELF AND THE BUILD UP IN MY MUSCLES (THROUGH THE FITS ) LEVELS ARE COMING DOWN GRADUALY .... THOGUH I CAN LOOK UP AND SAY ... THANK YOU LORD FOR KEEPING ME ALIVE AND CONFORTING MY FAMILY ( BET YOU DIDNT KNOW I WAS RELIGIOUS DID YOU .. and even though crystel lei is wild and madly extreme .. michelle is preety quite ... heheh heh . xxxx

I think I can speak for nearly everyone here and wish you a speedy recovery.

Although I do enjoy the site of a girl peeing, I would rather watch a healthy girl who is not pushing her body beyond it's limits for my enjoyment. For that reason I thank you for posting your warning to others.

hey Crystel, sorry to hear about your ordeal. I manage to drink 2-3 litres a day but I've been told this is a good thing as most people dont even drink near enough.

Just how many litres did you drink out of curiousity. not being funny but a friend brought up the topic of too much water being bad for you and my answer at the time was yeah cos of drowning. Duh!

To be honest up until now I never really knew about water intoxication but then I've always thought that drinking too much water you would end up pissing most of it out anyway.

Goes to show too much of anyhting in excess is bad for you.

Glad to hear you are on the mend though girl. Get well soon.

I learnt a little about the LD50 test once - basically, that's a measure of toxicity of all substances. The LD stands for Lethal Dose and the 50 stands for 50%. The LD50 number is the amount of the substance it takes to kill half of a test group - usually of rats, mice or guineas pigs.

I just googled the LD50 number for water. In rats, it's 90 ml/Kg. In humans, I always figured too the number would be too high to worry about. Googling LD50 for water in humans seems to agree: "For water and humans, respectively, the number would be so large, except for inhalation (drowning) that the concept loses significant meaning" according to one scientific source.

Looked up Crystal's condition too though. Good article here:

Seems, like athletes, they'd need to give you some electrolyte supplements to go with the water if you were drinking it fast in really large amounts.

Hi Crystel

I am really sorry to hear what happened but very pleased you are on the mend.

As you know (as you have modeled for us) we shoot alot of watersports, fortunatly we have never had a problem. I do know who you were shooting for though.

My/Our advise to all models doing watersports is that you should eat something during the day, PLUS any good producer will give their models water with extra minerals in, we either use water - now this will sound funny, that is especially for re hydrating you, or we sometimes use a special additive to stop or at least subsancially reduce the chance of problems occuring.

These additives are not prescription and if you go to your local pharmacy they will be able to supply what you need, OR girls & boys ask the producer you are working for to get these additives, they dont cost much!!

Anyway once again glad you are on the mend and we look forward to shooting you again soon.

Isn't that what killed Leah Betts? She was the young lady that took ectasy a few years back, but having heard that she had to drink a load of water, overdosed on it. I remember at the time the tabloids screaming that ectasy had killed her, neglecting to mention that is was ignorance that did! Hope you get well soon Crystel.
