Adult Channel DVDs

Post by tommy tadger »

Has the Adult Channel stopped releasing DVDs? The put out some craking stuff in the past inclusing the sizzling Miss Badcock but I've seen nothing new on the shelves now sice the begining of the year.

I'm annoyed about this too.
Jim Slip has said tonight, 'there''s no market'.
Well, he's wrong.

There is a huge market for this, maybe they are relying on us all subscribing to thir new web tv where you can see a lot of the programes uncut.

I get the impression that d/l is easier [or more profitable] for the producers,
but frankly the quality is sometimes suspect and you still have to burn it
to disc. To me that's sheer and sly laziness on their part- YOU prepare
the product properly, THEN I'll buy.
'Hard copy' wins every time.

Web TV!!!

Producers must assume that everyone has broadband. There are fans who live in woollyback country where just connecting to the net is a big event.

In which case they're being thick. I doubt market-research is a concept
most of them have yet to meet.

Shit, I'm in central London, and it's still a bit 'hit-and-miss'. And don't
get me started on Digital TV-reception [or rather, the inadequacy thererof].......

Well said that man. Give me a factory produced DVD in proper packaging over dowload or burned to DVDR stuff (DVDRs last all of five minutes anyway) and as for streaming over the web... NO thanks.

Are you referring to their R18 output?

I saw some 18 certificated ones inside a top-shelf magazine the other day.

Well.... a tenner, anyway :- ))
That's another thing that seriously pisses me off about the Brit industry.
?20 for one off simplyporn [and I'm not singling them out particularly,
they are merely an easily-accessible example], which you can usually buy in
the states for 15 bucks+ say 3 shipping; at this week's exchange-rate,
that's under a tenner. That's why I rarely buy domestic product- and I
further suspect there is some form of 'cartel' keeping UK prices artificially
high. The cheapest around for those discs not available Stateside are
r18dvdshop- and they were clearly taken over [and I doubt in a 'friendly'
way] by STB/simplyporn a few years back- so why the 15 vs 20 discrepancy,
if there's not a stitch-up going on?
Six will get you four this post gets deleted- but if not, cover your ears for
the inevitable howls of pain from the industry........
