This newly reviewed film, which is very very softcore, also features Hazel O'Connor who may be remembered by some for her early 1980's songs such as Eighth Day and Breaking Glass.
The scene is from the 1975 softcore film Girls Come First. This includes a bedroom scene, French Maid (Heather Deeley again), bed scene and bathroom scene (Hazel O'Connor) and I suspect that one of the other girls in this scene is Cheryl Gilham (aka Cherri Gilham).

Re: Who Bears Sins (Update Info)
Many thanks to the BGAFD admin for sending me a copy of this, I?ve had a look through it, and it appears to be a compilation of scenes taken from 1970s sex films made by David Hamilton Grant, mixed with newer 1980s shot on video vignettes, probably also filmed by Grant. Grant was the self-proclaimed ?king of sexploitation? in the 1970s, he ran several membership only cinema clubs, distributed foreign soft core films and made his own short sex films which were released overseas in full length hardcore versions with secondary cast members performing h/c in the additional scenes. Grant wasn?t a well liked character by all accounts, and was considered a bit of a creep and a weirdo by people who worked for him. Sexually Grant was a bit of a question mark, he was, or at least at one point had been, married, but had an eye for male talent, especially a bi-sexual actor by the name of Steve Amber. Grant?s big thing though appears to have been voyeurism, which he got to play out by directing hardcore scenes for his sex films, he also made hardcore for his own ?personal? use during the 70s/80s. This video was probably the last thing Grant ever did film wise.
The 80s footage doesn?t ring any bells (although the man in the ?chess? segment looks a bit like Timothy Blackstone??) but the shot on film material is a bit more familiar.
As already mentioned the ?artist and three girls? clip is from Girls Come First (1975), the main girls are Heather Deeley as the French maid and Hazel O?Connor is the girl in the bath, the artist is played by John Hamill, a bodybuilder turned mainstream actor turned porn actor. The full version?s storyline concerns Alan Street (Hamill) a struggling artist who is discovered by Hugh Jampton (Bill Kerr) a sex magazine publisher who hires Street to draw his models, something Street finds hard to do because the models just want to fuck Street senseless instead. Burt Kwouk, of all people, also turns up in this, playing Kato in all but name. Grant?s lowbrow idea of comedy includes a rabbi buying porn magazines and Kwouk making a grab for one of Jampton?s dogs when asked in prepare lunch. This was part of a trilogy of films Grant and Hamill did centered around Hamill?s Alan Street character the others being The Over Amorous Artist (1974) and Under the Bed (1977), all these films were shot in hardcore versions for export.
The garden of eden clip and the vignette with Victor Spinetti is from Pink Orgasm, a 1975 British sex film that was written up in Cinema X magazine (see link below) but was never finished/completed.
http://api.ning.com/files/tkKVdeTnmSyYi ... 000393.JPG
It would appear to have been planned as a sort of porn anthology with Heather Deeley playing all the female roles, as she also did in Diversions/Sex Express.
I suspect some of the character names in this were in-jokes, Spinetti?s character is called Basil Long, possibly a reference to sex comedy director Stanley Long? And Steve Amber?s character is called Alan Selwyn, which was the name of one of Grant?s friends. The real Alan Selwyn was Heather Deeley?s manager and cast most of Grant?s films.
The Idi Amin sketch is from ?Escape to Entebbe?, a non-sex short film that Grant had made with director Joe McGrath in 1976. Mark Heath played the Amin role (he also played Amin in a film called Operation Thunderbolt) the ?comic? interviewer is John Bluthal, who is the ?well-known comedy actor who appeared in Q5?.
The sextoon in the middle of the film is ?Sinderella? (1972) directed by Marcus Parker-Rhodes, and again produced by Grant. This was originally banned by the British censor, mainly due to a scene where the ugly sisters are gang raped by the three bears.
The mock silent movie clip looks like it was filmed for Secrets of a Door to Door Salesman (1973), but didn?t make the final cut.
Heather Deeley still remains a mystery, a few weeks ago I made an effort to try and find out what happened to her, but to be honest I didn?t like what I was hearing and was definitely getting a ?sinister? vibe from the story. By rights HD should have been a big sex film star, she certainly wasn?t a bad actress and as Diversions proves didn?t have many inhibitions. She appeared in around seven films within the space of 1974/1975 (five released, Pink Orgasm uncompleted, another ?The Session? unreleased).
Just when it looked like she was on the brink of stardom she met a fellow who was into the drugs scene and through him became a heavy user of cocaine. Needless to say this made her a bit of a risk to employ and from appearing in around five films in 1975 she made only one film in 1976, Tudor Gates? Intimate Games, in which she had a much smaller role than you?d expect from someone who was tipped to be a star. In her next film 1977?s Fiona Richmond vehicle Hardcore, she has an even smaller role, and would never act again. With not many acting jobs coming her way, in order to keep going (and no doubt to fund her drug habit) Heather took a job working at a Peep Show in Soho where co-workers generally remembered her for her use of ?Charlie? in-between shows.
A further film role was set up for her, but she never turned up on set and ?disappeared?, no one ever saw her again. Which of course warrants questions like didn?t anyone report her missing, tell the police etc, etc. Her family, if she any to speak of, may have reported her missing, but I?d guess at them being in the dark about her acting roles, the peep show and her life as ?Heather Deeley? in general. For instance, Lisa Taylor, another actress in 70s blue films and soft core comedies, has always kept her career a secret from her loved ones, even today her family, friends and children have no idea she was once a porn star (unless of course they stumble upon her BGAFD page). Part of me wants to believe that Heather, like Lisa, now lives a quiet life, raising a family and with no one around her knowing about her naughty past, but more realistically I suspect/fear that Heather Deeley might be dead, with even the possibility that she could have been murdered (hence her ?disappearance?).
Its very hard to research her today, most of the main players in her career have passed away, Derek Ford died after a heart attack in WHSmith, Alan Selwyn- the man who discovered Heather- fell on hard times and passed away from cancer a few years back. David Grant ?disappeared? in the early 1990s and because of the circumstances is presumed dead. A further stumbling block in all of this, is that ?Heather Deeley? wasn?t even her real name and any clues to her true identity seem to have died with Alan Selwyn. If her true identity was known, maybe, just maybe, this mystery would unravel itself. I?ve posted a few messages around the internet asking if anyone knew her, on the off chance someone out there might know something. Its a long shot, but you never know.

Re: Who Bears Sins (Update Info)
That's very interesting. Thanks a lot. We've linked the film's page to your post.
I don't think it's Tim Blackstone in the chess segment, though I see the resemblance. Thanks for the names in the Idi Amin sketch. The name John Bluthal was in my mind, but I wasn't sure I'd got the right one.

Re: Who Bears Sins (Update Info)
A fascinating and very informative read.
Re: Who Bears Sins (Update Info)
one tiny correction, the ?silent movie? type clip isn?t as I first suspected from Secrets of a Door to Door salesman its from another Grant film called Overexposed (1977) which doesn?t appear to have been released save for a clip of it turning up in Who Bears Sins.
The main star of Overexposed was actually Suzy Mandel, though she?s not in the clip. The short, bearded chap who does feature in the clip though is Grant himself.

Re: Who Bears Sins (Update Info)
I?ve recently been given some more information about Heather Deeley that I?ve incorporated into her Wikipedia page (it mainly concerns her college days, and her connections to The Sun and Status Quo). Suzy Mandel also remembers that Heather was originally meant to be in Blonde Ambition (which was filmed in 77, but only came out in 1980) but never appeared on set. Heather would have played the Dory Devon role.
In addition I was sent a magazine article on a film called The Session, which stars Heather, Andee Cromarty, and Ava Cadell. As far as I can work out this was never released though.
