Having read all the messages in this thread the view seems to be that condoms in hardcore are a turn off and that pornsters have to accept the risk (however slight) that they might contract some std (HIV or not) even if the majority of viewers, if having sex with someone new, would probably think it wise to get their 'mac' on. Would YOU have unsafe sex with, say, a working girl?
In the USA there have been pornsters contracting AIDS and you all must know how John Holmes ended up. OK, so drugs might have been involved also, but the end result is the same, and his partners just as much at risk. The UK industry might have just been very lucky, so far. An Aids test certificate only states the position at the date of the test. Who knows what has happened since, who the person has had sex with?
As long as it is clearly stated whether 'safe sex' is involved in the production (I salute Your Choice for this)it is up to the viewer to make their own choice.

As you said, an aids test is giving only a proof that the person has not AIDS at that moment, but does not mean that the person could not be infected.
But it is so far the only proof what can give at least this security. Otherwise there would be maybe people who are already infected by AIDS in the biz working and this people would not let you know.
The problem was never so big in Europe, because of the fact that drugs are not allowed on the set. And nobody responsible would hire people who have a drug problem. In USA it is totally different.
It is normal that the people take drugs even on the set, even producer and crew are addicted to drugs. This belongs to the american lifestyle. And even knowing about the danger, they go on and on.
The much bigger problem you are facing in this business are fungus and gonorrhea. And this is not very funny. As I said before, it is a big responsibility for all people involved in a production to be clean. For my part, I never have worked with unclean people to bring my loved ones not in a dangerous situation.
Also it is a big difference if you are involved yourself or you are not involded. But don?t be a dreamer, be realistic.

videos if condoms are used so that their customers know what
theyre buying.The actors & actresses can all be tested for HIV
