We've got it from Customs themselves that anything featuring pissing is liable to be seized, likewise fisting, DP and anal.

Good luck fighting it, though. One of our snappers sent in a huge box of hard-core piccies via courier this time last year and had the lot grabbed. Customs were going to burn it all, no argument, but as we were negotiating its release, they changed their guidelines on what could come into the UK. In the end, they just took out all the urination stuff and released the rest.

Kept the snapper happy, too, because he was looking at about 20 grand's worth of material going up in smoke!

Is there a sudden crack down by c & e at the mo? I had the same letter for a DVD (millenium piss) fom adultmedia which was sent direct from holland. Is normal h/c getting through and only so called obscene or degrading - which falls under the human degregation section of the legal blurb i believe - getting stopped? Joe, didn't you say that you had a recent delivery opened by royal mail and/or c & e but subsquaintly got the material through? What were the contents of the dvd/tapes?

If it helps, the law the at Customs and Excise are using to seize these items, as you know, was created in 1876. Although it has had a number os revisions, it is proving harder for Customs to enforce with reagrds to porn. The law is vague, and makes references to pictures and engravings etc.

If you challenge it (and I think you should), it will be referred to a hearing with 3 magistrates. They will be shown clips and sections (at C&E's choice/discretion) that will explain why they have seized the material. The 3 magistrates are supposed to be 3 very different types of people, eg. street wise or liberal through to moralist. This is designed to give "a fair cross-section of British society". A lot will ride on what they decide, and this is a gamble for you and customs. No one can be sure, as one court may relase the stuff, while others may not.

You can poetntially appeal all the way to the House of Lords, but porn is a political hot potato that no-one really wants to handle openly. Jack Straw has openly stated he deplores it as de-moralising to modern society or similar.

Unfortunately, C and E have quite a lot of bully power, and I suppose you never know quite what they will keep on a database somewhere.

Hold on there a minute! I didn't say which tapes I might be interested in. Dogs, rape...etc, definately not my thing. I just remembered seeing this site a fair while back and seeing some tapes which aren't sold by Your Choice, Your Scene, Vidshop etc. In most respects my tastes are pretty conservative but I do like the occassional transsexual and aahsex.com has a good range as I remember. Customs have told us that we're on thin ice bringing anal and DP images into the UK and that if they *do* grab it, we won't see it again because they reckon it breaches their guidelines.

That's the reason we can't show it in TwoBlue Hardcore and Extreme. If they see it, they'll take it away, and that's from the Big Boss at Customs & Excise; it's the official line.

I seem to remember that Jack Straw's actual involvement with the whole R18 process was minimal, and that when he found out what was planned ? allowing sex shops to sell hardcore ? he went up the wall.
