"Former pornstar" in new Channel 4 reality show...

Post by max_tranmere »

A new reality TV series starts on 4 September on Channel 4 which is set on a desert island. It is called "If Women Ruled The World" and is a bit like Shipwrecked but the men have to do what the women tell them (I think - I saw it in a magazine today). One of the stars is a "former British pornstar" according to the magazine. Does anyone know who it is?

I watched the Trisha Godard interview on You Tube - interesting seeing her say she did porn because she wanted to get better at sex. She also mentioned she had two small children when she started in the business. I don't know when her period of porn was, but she doesn't seem that young so I imagine it was a while ago. I had never heard of her until now. Her kids will obviously be older now and I wonder why she was so keen to go on national TV to talk about it. If she never talked about it then there is every chance her children may not have found out. They are bound to know know, as are all her other relatives.

Max, we ar eliving in a new age where the younger folk dont see porn as this sleazy thing or dirty little secret that the older generation were brought up with.

I see no reason why Liannes children shouldnt grow up to be perfectly normal citizens. If anything it doesnt necessarily meazn they will follow in her footsteps but most likely be the opposite.

Well thats another way to look at it.

There are plenty porn stars from yesteryear with children who have grown up but you dont hear how their mother or fathers career as a porn star has ruined them in any way.

Who knows, they may have a more healthy outlook about sex because of it.

I shall watch this show to see if it is any good. I many be pleasantly surprised but I am 75% certain it will be just another reality show and not very good. I see that another reality show started on ITV2 this week where loads of "celebrities" (if you count failed reality TV contestants, former semi-famous popstars who are now unemployed, people who used to feature in celeb trash mags and who were never actually famous for anything, as celebrities) attempt to become airline cabin staff and the ones least good at it get voted off, etc. Completely crap TV in other words. I will give this Channel 4 show one episode - I many be pleasently surprised but I doubt it!

I managed 10 minutes of this shit. Even by reality TV standards it's dire! I wont be watching again.
