Advice Reqd - Re: Copyright
I am seeking advice regarding the copyright of digital photographs which will be used shortly within a members only website. Your serious response would be much appreciated.

Re: Advice Reqd - Re: Copyright
If you took them and you've got release forms, no problem. When editing them for upload add line of text along the lines of 'copyright of .....' and place it in such a position that it will be hard to edit of the pic once the punters save it to their computer, but not so that it obliterates the subject.

Re: Advice Reqd - Re: Copyright
With image manipulation software these days, just adding a copyright disclaimer is not enough.
As additional protection I suggest you take advantage of image watermarking software such as Digimarc (www.digimarc.com) that can be added as a plug-in to both Adobe Photoshop and Corel PhotoPaint I believe.

Re: Advice Reqd - Re: Copyright
Copyright rests with the photographer unless the site has made a deal with him. All publishers usually do is purchase usage, say 1st use in UK, not full copyright. If pics are published by any means without the copyright holders permission, they can sue as its a brach of copyright
