Sorry to be a bore. But I just opened a letter from the police. It says "the arresting officer made a mistake. He had reason to believe that obscene material was being imported. Upon further examination it is now clear that no criminal offence has been comitted with regard to the videoe tape. No charges will be brought in respect of this material (Every Holes A Goal). This item is available to be collected at the police property office. However you should note that you are still on bail and will still appear in court to answer the charges laid by Her Majestys Constabulary in respect of breaching the queens peace."

So fuck. I dont care! I Just want my fuckin vid back!

as close to an apology as you can get without them actually apologizing. AND you get to go all the way to the factory to get your vid back (probably knackered now after all the copies made of it)!

how did getting done for disturbance of the peace, lead to the police searching your parents and then your house?? and if they only found one film, where did you hide your goods??

Hi Crofter, sorry Im a bit late in replying. Its just I have spent the last few days including New Year laid up after a 2 am sledging accident (booze was involved I am afraid). I hope you see this. I had been asking the same question re him picking up this vid and saying "I fancy a closer look at this". A freind of mine reckons he had no right to search and was doing it just to be awkward in the hope of finding something more exciting like drugs (not that I use them) or that booze I brought back from France last month (for my own use obviously). I suspect the plod concerned may have had a ticking off over his petty vendetta because its unuasual to get something returned so quick. I have been told by this bloke who is an expert on these things that the other charge may also be dropped as it wont look good if it turns out he abused his powers just to spoil my day and also only picked the vid up as an afterthought as he was leaving. I am presumeing that this plod was pretty clueless on the law and was hopeing his mates in the know would tell him to go back and look at the other tapes but reading between the lines I would guess he has been told to grow up and stop being silly. Its amazing how quick they can change their minds if you start threatening to make an official complaint about abuse of powers, false imprisonment, assault etc.
Do you think the bloke may have just wanted a copy for his own collection?
