Pierre Woodman's castings at R18 query

I see from the BBFC board that More Castings, and Private Castings 19, both directed by Pierre Woodman, have just been given R18 certs. Both films required some cuts for 'sex in public places'.

Even before the cuts, the films were only about an hour long, which is less than half the usual Private Castings format. I guess the distributors may have cut a lot of the interview footage on grounds of being boring, but does anyone know?

Also, I haven't come across the title 'More Castings' before. Is this a new series, a compilation, or what? I vaguely recall seeing that Woodman wasn't working for Private any more, which might explain it.

I can't help with your main query as I don't have any R18 Castings. 'More Castings' sounds like it might be a re-packaged version of the real thing, along the lines of 'Sex for Money' which I think is the R18 version of 'Money for Nothing, Sex for Free' I don't think there's owt in the Castings series that bbfc might object to, so that's unlikely to account for the lost hour.
Cutting down the interviews would be no bad thing, also the one-cam scenes from 10 feet away of Woodman "breaking-in" some alleged novice. This is sheer self-indulgence: OK, pal, so you're getting laid, but 1)you ARE paying for it and 2) you're SUPPPOSED to be entertaining US. Brits guilty of this are "Neil Down" and Fat Freddie, altho' the former has thankfully stopped inflicting his mugging-to-cameraup on us and the latter has greatly improved recently (see No. 6 for example).
Woodman appears to have linked up with Hustler now: I suspect Hustler want him more for his contacts than his directorial skills.......
Afraid you'll just have to take a punt on the R18s, although with the originals easily obtainable from outfits such as Sexpress at around ?20...........

Thanks. When the R18s turn up in the shops I will look closely at the cover pics! Actually I like Woodman's own shagging sessions, I think they are the best part of the Castings series, from what I've seen.

I guess the UK distributors might want to cut down the interview footage because the BBFC charge by the minute for the privilege of a certificate!
