The person who went to such trouble to rip off the site owner clearly thinks no expense was incurred either in the shoot or in maintenance of the site.

If things carry on like this, the only new porn we will have in five years time is terrible POV stuff from guys wanting to fuck hot girls and get some money back from it and a couple of American mega sites.

Sorry to be a spoilsport but I want top quality porn to be produced and continue to be available. Site rippers like the one I have linked to above greatly reduce the chance of this happening.

A call to arms is needed (however appealing "free" porn is).

Which is why i wasnt totally against recent scheme ACS Law had in place to combat this and did state that in war there many casualties.

I do not agree with the random people getting picked on but at least an effort was being made to do something about it at least sent out a signal that if you are going to play dirty then so shall we.

Its just regrettable that those who got stung were used by those who advocate filesharing as propoganda to deflect who were the real bad guys here.

It seems for every ACS law taken out there are a dozen more lawfirms seeing this as a viable business opportunity to make money as Ive found on my recent trip to Venus.

Some companies refuse to have anyhting to do with these firms as they dont want to upset the fans but these same companies are sending out a signal that its ok to get their stuff for free. One or two as an introduction is ok but the problem with people and free porn is that when you start in this way very few convert to sales because they would rather get it for free perpetuating a cycle that never stops.

Yes Jim but those you speak of dont see themselves as doing any harm when they think "well I'm but only one person doing it" and " I never pay for porn anyway cos thats a mugs game" and "well its there for free anyway so why should I pay?"

What options are left out there to deal with this?

If you remember our discussion many moons ago where I said "porn will eat itself" for the saturation point it has reached.

It seems the only business model available to producers of adult content in the future will rely on the stealing of it

Believe it or not OEJ I don't actually think, "We're all doomed" for once! I think the market has fragmented. As you quoted freebie hunters as, " I never pay for porn anyway cos thats a mugs game". In a way I think these people have never and will never pay for porn or for music or for movies etc etc. In a way, these, "Porn locusts" are a distraction from the real issue of peoples' general boredom with all forms of media including mainstream porn, at the present time.

However, I think there's a new market of consumer that has emerged of people who not only expect to pay but also want to be part of the idea that you are selling. A bit like I Tunes has been an enormous success. "Porn locusts" would say, "'uck orff ya cunt, ya wouldn't ever see me paying money for a 'ucking song!" However, in the long term I believe these people will become an irrelevance, because people will be fussier about what porn they choose to view, so in the end, the "Porn freebie hunters" will be basically adolescent boys and saddos who don't give a toss what they look at as long as it's got tits and arse in it.

So my advice is if you are in porn and still going, hang on in there, it'll be a long slog, but this storm is surviveable!
